The difference between Starmer and Johnson is that Johnson is authentic and Starmer isn't. Johnson represents a class - a very powerful dominant class; Starmer is in thrall to a series of focus groups.
The difference is one got elected and - if he last that long will get turfed out under the '13yrs of tory misrule' Rule.
Starmer just has to sit tight and avoid O.Gs
How long he lasts once elected is another question

No he really doesn't. Even Blair had to offer a Third Way. Starmer has nothing. Nothing.

You cant win elections by waiting for the opposition to fail, you have to inspire. Can you see anyone getting inspired by that divvy and his vision of a Tory second XI waiting in the wings to come on and wring their hands a bit but essentially deliver the same?

Wait and see...I'm going with a narrow labour majority...all he had to do is the political equivalent of KIPAP1

What does Starmer believe in, if he became PM what would he do with his new power. He’s been in post a fair while now and I haven’t heard anything.....
Not a problem
Macmillan's 'Events, dear boy, Events' will keep Boris busy...as long as he stays in the job that is...and, in the long run, Do for him
Starmer? In the years run up to the election, he's a Horse Feathers (groucho) Marxist - whatever it is he's for - I'm against it!
Let's hope he has decent advisors to tell him which fights to avoid

Hopefully getting into power , by not doing what the last couple of labour leaders have done .
Appearing steady basically and competent.
He has got a lot of work to do getting the party electable , he dosnt excited me at all to be honest but he has more chance of getting somewhere than the last two.
Dont know how they reconnect with it's old supporters that have turned there backs on the party in the last few years, never mind get new support on board.
To be honest dont think they will get into power anytime soon unless the tories hand it to them on a plate.

I know it's all part of the strategy because Starmer doesn't want to be associating himself with Trade Unions but the lack of support they've given teachers over the last 6 months cuts deep. Optics above principles.

We've had two very vulnerable teachers coming into our school throughout the crisis. How Labour aren't demanding these people are given priority with the vaccine is beyond me.

Don't forget there is a boundary review due for completion in 2023, widely expected to favour the Tories with roughly a 10 seat swing from Labour to Conservatives.

I wasn't a fan of Corbyn but least everyone knew where he stood (apart from Brexit), and if you agreed with him then you had someone to follow

Starmer comes across as the Labour version of Theresa May, don't have an opinion and you won't offend anyone.

#Starmerout trending on Twitter because people that cried about Corbyn being hounded in 2019 are absolute hypocrites.
Why? Not a crime to disagree with his "views and "policies" Corbyn was hounded out by the right wingers in his own party, aided and abetted by the MSM.
He was not strong enough as a leader to rebutt the accusations levelled at him.
What vision does Keith have? Enlighten me because I ain't seen anything yet.
Even the lying twunt Bozo won the election purely on "Get Brexit Done"

Not being an idiot?
So that is a policy declaration is it?
How about "Abstain on everything (except brexit vote) "
"Say nowt and they(the tories )will self-destruct"
"Willing to form an alliance with the tories in the event of a hung parliament (not going to happen that..a hung parliament that is)
"Bin the 10 pledges and hope no one remembers by 2024"
Nearly a full manifesto that lol lol
