Really think you are wrong, both calling for economic packages, if a lockdown is needed!
We've seen that shift from the regional leaders yesterday to come into line with the national party message. But what a grisly sight: Anderson, Rotheram and Burnham...with their hospitals filling up, demanding that their businesses stay open and thinking it a good idea.

We all know where their symapthies lie.

I loved it

if those Tory bstards want to close business’ they need to pay them in full. Destitution is not a suitable outcome
It was nice that he thought to stress the livelihoods of workers before he stressed the effect on businesses there. The first time he's done that.

I thought that BBC series Manctopia: Billion Pound Property Boom captured Burnham's role there quite well. Let's just say - as with Mandelson before him - he's "very relaxed" with people getting filthy rich.

Andy Burnham's speech today.

Lol.

Hardly Lenin at the Finland Station.

I quite liked it tbh D. Always been a bit harsh on Burnham because you coukd see the intention was there but he just slipped back in line when the time come – disappointingly so.

Now he doesn't answer to the PLP, he seems a bit free. Will he ultimately accept a lockdown? Probably, but full credit to him for making a stand unlike some others.

Great news for 'Kier', that. ;)
The Newsnight piece underlined what a hypocrite and opportunist he is.

It's just a pity it wasn't a more substantive peice of journalism that highlighted his raft of right wing decision making as DPP...but then again, you dont expect substantive journalism from the BBC.

Think it’s a big shame Starmer will be in charge for next election. He’s useless. Someone like Burnham would have been be perfect to put these Tory rats to bed.
