Can you explain which electoral system you favour and why? I just can’t quite follow your FFP analogy.

Also, you are wrong on Starmer unless you’re admitting you’re quite right wing?

FPTP gives you two realistic choices - Conservative or Labour.

I personally think modern society is too diverse to have just the choice of two parties.

Same as the USA - I mean 300+ million people and the choice is one of two parties with anything else a wasted vote.

Ludicrous

I still don’t quite get the initial analogy but okay. Your suggestion of the Labour Party going further to the right would mean even less choice though?

I agree with Dave in that currently the Labour party is essentially a mis match party of left wing & centre left with the odd old school SDP type thrown in for good measure.

And that for me is symptomatic of our current political system - no matter who you vote for they ultimately dont represent you - Labour under Corbyn represented Davek whereas Labour under Starmer is more likely to represent me - yet how can that be when its ultimately the same party?

I dont fully agree with Daves politics but he should have the option of a credible socialist party who has the chance of getting into office - likewise I should have the option of a centre left party who is tougher on crime than say the current Labour.

FPTP kills momentum in smaller parties from growing as people feel like its a wasted vote - therefore the big two parties are a mis match of various ideologies and competing views when that shouldn't really be the case imo.

I’m not sure you’ve quite grasped what the Labour Party is but which system would you implement and how would it create change? And what would that change look like within national government?

The Tories have been in power for 10 years....are they not as tough on crime as you would like?

Tories and Labour are too soft on crime.

Anyone who murders another human should rot in prison for life.

15 years minimum tariff nonsense.

Can you please at least show your working out for this? With some research? If you genuinely want this to happen you need to start convincing people

What you talking about?

Unless you murder 2 people you're never given a whole life tariff unless very rare circumstances.

I suggest its YOU that needs to start showing your workings out.

I’m just asking you, who thinks the current legal framework is wrong, to show how harsher tarifs help society.

Care to prove to me how leniant tariffs for murderers help society?

Its not about helping anyone its sufficient justice for the family who has lost a loved one forever.

Anyone who can not understand that as far as im concerned is a sociopath.
