did you read what I wrote mate ? No offence but this is like a @Joey66 reply or a politician where he doesn’t bother to read the reply and sticks to the argument that they want to have .

To be clear like all murders the sentence is life with a minimum of 11 years which I get your angry at I presume half as angry as you were 10 minutes ago when you said it was 5.5 years . The sentence is a minimum Not the sentence so could it have been more , of course but it doesn’t mean he’ll be out in 11 years .

As regards the judge he’s sentenced the lad to life , I presume also taken into account the guidelines he has to follow for the minimum including the age . I’m not sure what the judge has done wrong to be honest , it could of course been a higher minimum but What would you be Have been happy with ? So if he’d said 15 years is a life worth that , how about 20 ?

It seems to be a horrible brutal murder and he’s rightly in nick for murder , where he’ll still be in 2030 and very probably long after that . Sentencing can be a mess but the judge has given him life the lad will always been on life licence if he’s ever released , in this country we simply don’t jail everyone for ‘life means life ‘ when they’re convicted of murder . We don’t and haven’t done for a very long time if ever if you want that to change campaign for it or lobby but it’s not the judges fault or kier starmers.

(Sorry for @ you joey but I know you get angry if you’re mentioned and nobody does it just felt appropriate . Mostly we argued loads about this very thing back in the day in the EU thread )

But thats what needs to change mate - the guidelines are a farce when it comes to serious crimes.

Im all for life means life but even if that never happens / changes then atleast make murder a minimum 25-30 years -whereas the average imprisonment seems to be around 15 years or so based on national statistics.

The parties for the entryists to go back to already exist Dave, Communist Party, Socialist/SWP, and the like. The majority of moderate Labour voters would I'm sure be happy with this and those that moved from Corbyn's Labour will most likely move back from the Conservatives.

The entryists are the Blairites. They entered a socialist party in the 80s and colonised it like vampires.

The Corbyn experience indicates to us that it isn't enough to get a socilaist leader when the bureacracy of the party is still infested by right wing neo-liberals seeking the return of Blairism.

It's best now that the hundreds of thousands attracted to the membership by Corbyn leave that party and form a new party committed to social and economic democracy. The left unions could then follow them out of the LP and align with them.

Leave Starmer and his Blairite supporters to stew in their own piss.

too right joe , although I’m really finding it hard without fans. I’m hoping it’s a combination of the season being All but over when we kicked off, the RS winning and us being a bit crap so hopefully I’ll get excited again when we kick off . Fingers crossed .

A Bournemouth type forum would no doubt be largely predominantly Tory/Right wing.

The silent majority care for neither extreme - I guarantee without FPTP if a party was centre left on economy and centre right on crime they would hands down win an election in the UK spanking both Labour & Conservative.

People forget the path to Brexit didnt start at Immigration - the main angst against the EU was whenever criminals/terrorists couldnt be deported or criminals were getting leniant sentences it was down to "EU meddling in our laws".

This country are proud people who have a strong sense of justice having fought against tyrants in wars gone by - we dont like seeing scum not get their comeuppance hence a desire for proper sentences and not a life = 15 years in the slammer.
