The last election was played out over Brexit. Corbyn made a huge miscalculation by not allowing Labour MPs to vote with the wishes of their constituents.

Therein lies the problem. The fact that people are more likely to be concerned with their own situation as opposed to those of faceless ‘others’ really isn’t that surprising at all, in fact it could be argued that it’s essentially hard coded into human survival instincts.

There has to be compromise and the selling of the value of policy to the ‘self.’ It was consistently something missing in the previous leaderships approach.

I can gauarntee that if the Corbyn led LP would have called for the boycott of goods from occupied land in Israel/Palestine the whole media would be screaming anti-semitism.


This is one to keep an eye on. The Israeli apartheid government are going to annexe more Palestinian land in the West Bank this week with Trump's blessing. I want to see a clear stance taken on that by Labour.

Corbyn paid the price of different kind of discipline. I don't mind admitting I'm a small conservative when it comes to discipline. Clear boundaries and expectations need to be entrenched from the onset.

Its fine to have conviction on a forum it's fine to have principled position on the back bench as a sitting MP. However, as minister or shadow. Due process must be followed and adhered, the further away from home shore the more careful that view should be expressed, diplomacy matters.
