Knowsley. Like the equivalent "safe" tory seat of Tatton. Why should I vote Labour now then ? Not voted for them since May 1997.How do you mean ?

Far too far to the left - some good policies I admit, but he over egged them too much .....plus momentum pulling the strings ......CBA trawling through all your views on political threads...I asked a simple question..define Corbynism...not interested in why you didn't vote for the labour party.
I may disagree with you but at least you have given me an answer...I could argue about the amount of influence momentum had (not a lot), all I will say is beware of the party as it is now...this may change, but I am not optimistic at all. Understand your point about horticulture, and agree...the Greens have a lot in common with you. Take care.Far too far to the left - some good policies I admit, but he over egged them too much .....plus momentum pulling the strings ......
As still a trade unionist, I have been militant myself stood on picket lines etc ........
I hate the Tories - just look at the mess we are in now a recession is on the way no doubts about it ......
Don't forget as a humble horticulturist I was frowned upon ...in my era you were classed as a gardener with a straw hat when I started out .......

No probs with that at all. I just don't like the FTP system...it was designed years ago, and I feel it does not reflect the true democratic vote be it to the right or left. That's probably a thread on its own. Not even sure about how we can solve it. Follow your belief, unless it becomes dogma.Principles for me mate, I live in a safe Labour seat too, but will still vote Labour. To each his own I suppose.

Agree with you mate, there are areas of the country down south that have a ridiculously small amount of voters for each constituency, usually the Tory country voters.
We Knowsley folk must continue to vote Labour to widen our gap as the safest seat in the country.
Still upset that Momentum were unable to oust Howarth mind you. Had a good candidate there to take his spot.
How do you feel that Labour has improved Knowsley considering the amount of time they’ve had in charge ?.....
''Since 2010, Knowsley Council has lost 45% of its Government funding – this has meant a £100m cut in the money which the Council would otherwise have had available to fund key public services. Knowsley Council’s funding has been cut by £485 for every person in the Borough – more than double the England average of £188 per person.''
Some might say the national government are ensuring they're fighting a losing battle.
