It's in hands of various lawyers, I doubt there is much else he can do currently.
The former DPP who backed the coppers and army in their wrongdoings?

Yes, that fills me with great confidence that he'll root out a bunch of racists and sexists and pro-Tory saboteurs in the LP.

Do get the concern, however, he won't be the first who practices law pragmatically applies it in practice. I'm prepared to give him a chance over the coming weeks, would have been longer in different circumstances.

Starmer clearly has a good eye for detail, how that presents itself to the public in this glorified popularity contest will be a key factor
We dont need a waffling windbaggery (AKA by Starmer's supporters as 'forensic detail'). We need a street fighter who can get in the media and maul the Tories for the catastrophe they've created.

That response though extreme, does sort of make my point for me
Cometh the hour, cometh the man. He's got to rise to this challenge.

IMO his instinct is to stand back from the fight and appear 'statesmanlike'.

There's no room for that. He has to get in the ring and start swinging.

Let's see if he has it in him.

I would like him to be stronger, but, its a good start

FFS, he was just easily rebuffed and taken down by a complete numbskull.

He's almost apologetic in saying he feels the government were 'too slow' on a number of issues. 'Too slow'? How about non-existent in terms of scale of response; how about hammering home that their policies have killed countless NHS and care workers; that their response is banana republic in its scale compared with many advanced nations.

All too gentlemanly and too Establishment for me. Where is the attack when we need it? This is just sitting on the bench and allowing your team to get battered.

First time in years we have a proper opposition. Millions of floating voters will now not be turned off even getting chance to consider Labour as a viable government.

Good start that and its clear that Starmer is miles ahead of Corbyn in ability and intellectual capacity.

Those on the far left who have already made their minds up on Starmer will probably find it more appealing to join the Socialist Workers Party or the like but as I say I think that there is a good argument for Momentum to split from Labour and create their own party. This would allow Labour to regroup and form a united assault on the Tories. There might be better agreement that way and space to grow ideas as opposed to defend against internal attacks.

Anyway, an endorsement from the get go.
