Good start that and its clear that Starmer is miles ahead of Corbyn in ability and intellectual capacity.

Those on the far left who have already made their minds up on Starmer will probably find it more appealing to join the Socialist Workers Party or the like but as I say I think that there is a good argument for Momentum to split from Labour and create their own party. This would allow Labour to regroup and form a united assault on the Tories. The could might better agreement that way and space to grow ideas as opposed to defend against internal attacks.

Anyway, an endorsement from the get go.



Keeping to the Tories favourite theme War, so to invoke the memory of war they all appear to have endured. Tories have lord Kitchener. And Labour may have ended with up Herbert Plumer, the first world war general, who looked like the tally ho and charge general, in reality anything but. Plumer was a man who operated in prudent reality,.

Plumer did not expect his army to break through the enemy lines and charge to Berlin, nor did he expect his men to be superhuman. In his detailed plans he planned for only modest goals – keeping in mind the weather and terrain involved and the morale of his men – then trained his men thoroughly for the task he had set them. Arguably one of if not outstanding WW1 general's...

Amazing reading the replies to that tweet. Some people are absolutely beyond deluded. Do like Starmer though, it feels like we will be thrown into less ‘click bait generated policy’ debates than previously.
 
FFS, he was just easily rebuffed and taken down by a complete numbskull.

He's almost apologetic in saying he feels the government were 'too slow' on a number of issues. 'Too slow'? How about non-existent in terms of scale of response; how about hammering home that their policies have killed countless NHS and care workers; that their response is banana republic in its scale compared with many advanced nations.


All too gentlemanly and too Establishment for me. Where is the attack when we need it? This is just sitting on the bench and allowing your team to get battered.
