I did mate. And yeah, going back there have been tons of schemes to encourage employee share ownership. Key word is ownership. This isnt that in a million years. Its stealing via the back door.

It's not good is it? In any GE we have a choice between a party who want to do this kind of thing, and a party who have shown themselves to be incompetent shysters.

Or the pensioner with 10% less in their pension? As a freelancer, my savings are largely invested in shares for my retirement. Or in other words, doing what most politicians would recommend. Being frugal, saving for rainy days etc. yet Labour would snatch 10% from my savings just like that. Nice.
Probably go towards if you are lucky enough to your older age related care, frugal, bet there are not many here if any that can fund that.

In the current system, that would be wholly unacceptable.

In a system in which we treat our old and infirm with the respect they deserve, and are given a universal state pension fit which will ensure that no OAP has to decide between heating and eating - I think it's a just sacrifice to make.

Stealing is just? Cos I cant see a different description that fits mate.

I have no issues with any party mucking about with tax rates, thresholds, allowances, whatever. But a Government taking the income from employees as a non % lump sum, I am staggered frankly.

I find the fact that kids go to school hungry more of an injustice. If that makes me a bad guy, then I'm a bad guy.

The greater the mess we inherit, the more radical we have to be; the greater the need for change, the greater the opportunity we have to create that change, and we will.

People think they are the words of anyone who should be anywhere near power? McDonnell doesn’t want a second vote on Brexit because he wants the country on its knees so he can slither in like the snake he is. Socialist my foot, the mans an odious little prat.

I think its disgusting that, in a modern civilised society, people are having to pick between staying warm and eating - whilst there exists extreme wealth.

If you happen to believe that's an acceptable thing, then that's fine by me.

Personally speaking, I'd rather today's children not have the sad, poverty ridden upbringing I had to endure because I know first hand what that does to a person.

But it's up to you, and the wider electorate to make that decision.

With respect mate, I never mentioned anything about poverty, eat or heat, nowt. You did.

I made the observation that the proposed policy of giving 10% of a company away, then taking a chunk of the dividends directly to to the Government, with no capital exchange to the existing shareholders, and the employees, is theft.

You stated that was fine by you. So dont start lobbing moral compasses around.

You are aware that the failure to curtail the growth in extreme wealth has very real human implications?

I genuinely wish that more politicians spoke with real genuine emotion about socioeconomic injustices, instead of being stone faced business people - all too often sacrificing the wellbeing of those they represent as to ensure that the FTSE ends the day with another decimal point of improvement.

Like what? Extreme wealth, if used for industry, has a lot of benefits to society, including the working classes: the created industry creates jobs, which enhances spending, which then benefits the economy, which brings in more taxes for the government, which benefits the support systems for the poor & disabled.

You have monumentally missed the point I am afraid.

It is nothing about extreme wealth, nor a few points on the FTSE. Its about normal, working people, having their dividend income stolen, and/or their modest shareholding in the company they work for, diluted.
