Honestly, we´ve got to get away from the idea that the election would have been a walk over for anybody. No matter who is in charge of the Labour Party over the next 20 years they have got a monumental task.

This basically. It's not as simple as putting in someone moderate and expecting things to change. If it was that straight forward the Lib Dems would have cleaned up.

I don't see how someone like Starmer is going to get voters from Wrexham or Sunderland back on side.

Winning the likes of Wrexham back is doable but finding a balance to keep hold of places like Putney? It´s a massive ask.

People put forward Starmer now and on paper he looks like a decent candidate. That´s before the right wing press get stuck and set a narrative though.

Picking someone with a brain, that believes in the U.K., that understands its own supporters, would be a start.....I fully expect a full dose of revisionism to now break out and say Corbyn wasn’t left enough.....

Jess Phillips is not the enemy of Labour. The likes of Lansmann - ideological nutcase zealots who betrayed the people they claim to want to help by ignoring the electoral reality in favour of pushing for a ridiculous socialist utopia - are the real enemy of Labour. It's time to wake up to it.
