You must agree that to report it today, 20 months later, with no corroboration and also with Dan Hodges from The Mail on Sunday rubbishing it, it smacks of desperation. If you can't attack the policies, attack the MP's. Labour have people running scared.

Yes but not unexpected. Basically it just shows issues with our free speech media. Yes say what you think by all means, just don't make up crap, especially regarding something that happened over a year ago that they didn't deem newsworthy at the time.

Can I ask why that last account was 'canned?'

Experience of seeing how "posters" will try to hijack football forums, or any others for that matter, to post just political stuff. Its not what this sub forum was designed for.

There was also some obvious digs that made it obvious he was here before.

I have not advocated privatising services such as police etc. I merely said that the private sector generates all of the money for these and that if the public sector disappeared, the private sector would just build the services that they need, whereas the public sector could not build the equivalent to a private sector.....

Who would regulate the private sector though?

...it should never be Public v Private Sector. The Public Sector is full of innovative, brilliant and hard working individuals who could earn far more elsewhere. They will carry on regardless, delivering their service out of commitment. I find it sad, when some give the impression that the Private Sector is somehow superior.

Its not, but I cannot stand the public sector, which started this off, demanding ever more money which can only be provided by the private sector, while private sector workers have less pay and worse pensions. The public sector rarely gets made redundant, always enjoys decent pay and final salary pensions. I have no problem with the public sector, but I wish those employed by it might just for once consider the poor schmucks who work to pay their wages......a bit of respect would go a long way....

Nice one Kier.......

That sounds bad. Who is it determining the lower pay and worse pensions? I dunno, maybe a Union could help?

This sounds boss tbh. Maybe we should aim to guarantee the same to private sector workers?

So we should depress public sector pay and conditions because they're better than in the private sector?

You are on fire tonight Pete. Some of your best work yet.

Generalising rubbish.

And civil servants have had 9 years of real term pay decreases.

When there is only so much money, it’s about how it gets distributed. If the public sector want more either the private sector works harder or goes with less.....it’s very simple....
