...you lost me, Peter, when you said the Private Sector pays for the Public Sector and the NHS, Police and public services could be privatised if needs be. Services are Services. They provide a service, they should not be profit orientated.

Imagine privatising the police and giving your card no in when you’re getting burgled. We’ve seen issues with the prison service when the facilitators run it for profit, fewer outlay on staff to ensure profit on contracts. ’Service’ is about providing a ‘service’, it’s not about profit.

I have not advocated privatising services such as police etc. I merely said that the private sector generates all of the money for these and that if the public sector disappeared, the private sector would just build the services that they need, whereas the public sector could not build the equivalent to a private sector.....

...it should never be Public v Private Sector. The Public Sector is full of innovative, brilliant and hard working individuals who could earn far more elsewhere. They will carry on regardless, delivering their service out of commitment. I find it sad, when some give the impression that the Private Sector is somehow superior.

... or indeed that the private sector doesn't require the public sector to exist. Try running a business without consumers, an effective legal system, educated employees or transport networks.

Keeping it in the back pocket until they are ready to throw in the hand grenade when it will cause most damage. That said I think people have made up their minds by now and won't change them unless something really big blows up.
You must agree that to report it today, 20 months later, with no corroboration and also with Dan Hodges from The Mail on Sunday rubbishing it, it smacks of desperation. If you can't attack the policies, attack the MP's. Labour have people running scared.

Joined a football forum 90 minutes ago, first post in a politics thread. We have had this before.

Haha! Just who would take the trouble to join a football forum to post about politics? Had loads of them in the EU thread. Makes no sense.
Me clearly. What's your problem? Because I choose not to comment about today's match as I believe that the political issues are worth debating?
Strange.

Please don't overthink what I choose to post about. Just because I haven't posted about today's game doesn't mean anything. Chill out.

Thanks for the advice.

We had tons of Bots/Trolls in one of our political threads recently, so when a brand new poster heads straight to a political thread on a FOOTBALL forum, we kinda ask ourselves, why. Pretty sure the internet has forums that are just about politics, instead of being a sub forum.

Would it be as strange if it was Liam Fox we were speaking about? He's my local MP and as such I've posted. Is there a problem?

I'm sure they do. Thanks.
