I think the clown is being instructed by Cummings to get to the election with Brexit still in play.

Possibly - that would certainly explain the self-defeating moves - but that is an incredibly high risk strategy. I mean, this idea that "only the Tories can deliver Brexit" has surely been exposed as false given that only the Tories have been involved in negotiating Brexit and they've failed to do it.

By the time this scrutiny of his deal ends it'll be a laughing stock and seen for the utter pile of BS it is.

I think last week in Brussels we saw 'Peak Johnson'.

He'll fall from grace from this point.

IF my theory is correct, the backers of both have had a few headaches these last few days re the pound moving all over the shop.

These moves by Johnson, no matter how they are painted, have a No Deal end game. Way too much cash invested for any other result.

I may be a deluded fool, and I hope I am proved to be one.

edit. Soz thought this was the EU thread.

You've been pushing that point for ages mate, I think there's a lot of truth to it. However, they'll still want power after the next election, and as @tsubaki states, that's a high risk strategy.

I've no real interest in the topic mate, but the state was created after the Holocaust to provide a safe place. That does kinda make it different to the UK.

Could that have been done as part of a secular state where people from Jewish, Arab, Atheistic, Orthodox, Christian, Moroccan etc backgrounds all lived without segregation? This what was the Palestinian authority had offered.

There isnt really a low risk one for anyone is there? SNP/Plaid/Green notwithstanding.

I wonder why the Labour Party didn’t do what Letwin did today. Why does it take tory Remainers to pull all the clever tricks........

Sucking lemons, Nigel Evans Duncan Smith must be handing the bitterness pills out.

Errr it's back benches working with oppositions, the Benn act, Leftwin act... And no one party is stupid enough fall for Cummings and Johnson blame game...

It's beyond partisan politics, this has always been the mistake of May and now Johnson government, they both behaved as if they huge majority, both in parliament and with referendum result, should have always been unity. Anyway, be positive, karma is just a rebalancing.

Might as well ask, do you genuinely believe this?
A bit , they cant be seen as all out remain , as it would alienate a large amount of there voters, who are genuinely getting fed up with the stalling tactics, we need more time for what more of the same as the last three years.
Best leave it to the likes of ledwin who is standing down from his constituency before he is pushed.

This is how parliament works, or supposed. You don't leisurely waft legislation and policy through and then cry thereafter...
