In my local labour party to even disagree with them sees you decried as a dirty Tory. There is no discussion. No alternative view. It's the hard left or be excluded.

I don’t agree with Corbyn’s politics but I think he’s come out of this mess with a better reputation. I do think he’s still struggling with naivety to push for an election then referendum rather than the other way round which would prevent a back door Tory win.

Can be viewed a couple of ways. If he has a referendum first then it doesn’t really matter who wins as people will go back to voting tribally at a GE. If he has a GE first he can at least go into it promising to hold a referendum which may garner some swing voter Remainers.....

I see Louise Ellman MP has packed in being a Labour member. Now I’ve known this lady for many years, she was a neighbour of mine and was one of the best Labour MP’s I’ve seen, and I’ve seen a few good ones. She had been a member for well over 50 years and did a great job prior as Leader of Lancashire county Council. But she is Jewish, which doesn’t fit with Corbyn’s Labour. She will no doubt be attacked by all and sundry Labour supporters over the next few days. But you know what, she is a really nice Lady, classy, who put in the hours to look after her constituents and not herself...

I don't really have a truck in this argument as old Labour is not for me, however the timing of this stunt and her wording doesn't appear to be classy. You can leave without making a fuss, or leave way before an election.

No, deselection attempts began last week.

I think the deselection rules need reworking, because she did nothing different to when she was elected to justify a deselection threat. It's a purely political move by Momentum Liverpool to try and remove her rather than a behaviour/criminal issue, just because the Labour party under the abysmal Corbyn has totally and utterly failed to tackle the real issue of anti-semitism.
