The party of we will go to the EU to get a deal, then campaign against it on a referendum, I am sure the deal will appeal to the EU and remainders but why in god's name would the EU offer anything under those circumstances ?
Its a plaster to cover there bums in leave seats nothing more.
If they think people will fall for that they really need to get out of North London a bit more.
If Johnson wasn't such a danger I wouldn't be voting for them, as it stands no Brexit , and the thought of Abbott , thornberry , ect in power is a price worth paying to stop him.

Common sense without the passion, something to work with, it will do.

When neither side is completely satisfied, it is usually the sign of a balanced compromise.

The EU has given every indication that it is willing to negotiate a closer Brexit deal with Labour; Starmer and others have been working on this with them for months now, if not years. Labour would not have taken this approach thus far without EU assurances.

Unlike the Tories, Labour will offer a Brexit deal that is actually feasible, and which won't destroy the economies of Britain and Ireland for hedge funds and private equity vultures to pick over.

Some Labour MPs will oppose the deal, others will support it, others will stay neutral.

But it won't really matter because under Labour, the people will have the final say on what should happen. Which party offers a more sensible and democratic way forward than that?

It is a mistake to assume that many or even the vast majority of leavers would not accept any deal that came back; they just want to leave.

All this “we can’t do trade deals” / migration rubbish are just what the Tories said leave would entail, and really have no legitimacy beyond the 40% who voted Rat in 2017 (and even that is doubtful, as that PM and government is no more).

Labour could get a deal and it could win a referendum. I hope that if they do form a new government, that they do that before getting a GE.

So what exactly is the point of the extension......
Allows for a general election to take place where hopefully a party outright wins (Labour please) or a coalition forms that has enough seats to pass a deal in HoC that is also acceptable to the EU (one that gets rid of May's red lines), if it doesn't and its a hung parliament we're back to square one where no deal panic sets in again and its begging for another extension or holding a second ref to try and revoke article 50

but your lot have turned down an election already.....

Its a good Thursday morning, not one for the polls myself, however I know many in the centre and right of the political spectrum love a bit anylytical drooling over the numbers to further their mantras.

"The drift against Brexit is believed to have been driven by slightly more Leave than Remain voters changing their minds, particularly in Labour areas."

Not good for the Tories. If leavers in Labour marginals go back to Remain there will be a broader shfit to Labour.

Rather than convincing Labour leavers to back Con, the association of Con to leave is pushing leave voters to remain. Agent Johnson strikes again.
