Comparing Corbyn to Attlee  Waa waa, my hero can't command a majority, those meanies simply must support him, he's so nice and cuddly. Drop his ego and let a neutral person lead it and job done. Majority commanded. He won't do that though, will he?

Don't see any other Westminster leader coming near Attlee as Corbyn does in brand of politics and policy...

Can't be having someone installed as PM without the appropriate democrat mandate it's Corbyn or crash out. The leavers would have a field day if remain picked the technocrat...

I'm very remain, however, on this point it's Corbyn or nothing, no compromise. Even Ken Clarke will accept the idea.

Other remainers who have shouted no to no deal have to give their heads a little wobble and phone their therapist's pretty quickly so to move away from black and white political attack lines.

But it's not becoming PM, is it? It's becoming a temporary leader of national unity.

Do I have to put the words into order myself? o_O
You can do what you like.

As long Corbyn is heading up national unity government, get no deal stopped, that if it really matters, but I don't believe it matters as much to the LibDems as it does to Labour SNP and the Greens.

Think LibDems are more than happy to see us crash out, so they can wag their fingers thereafter and dance to a tune of told you so, once the economic pain starts to destroy people's lives. Its the liberal way, it's all your fault..

It's irrelevant what the Lib Dems do, as it needs the support of Tories to pass. Even the 21 that have been kicked out by Johnson won't touch anything Corbyn has his hands on.

Nonsense.

If the Liberal Democrats decided that stopping No Deal Brexit was more important to them then chasing a handful of Tory remain seats, they could absolutely sway the very small of number independents necessary to bring down Boris Johnson and secure the extension.

LibDem use the 21as an excuse and vise versa, one folds the other will because neither will be wanting to be left holding sole responsibility.

And Both will be held responsible if we crash out, however, they will blame each other to infinity. The likes of Rory Stewart Jo Johnson are getting out for good reason.

I'm confident as Labour are of the scenario, that the electorate will hold LibDems and the 21 responsible if we crash out. Call it a coalition of the dammed! ;)

Why can't Corbyn persuade them himself?

Because like the Liberal Democrats, they also value silly partisan gamesmanship more than stopping No Deal Brexit.

And they are so afraid of the popularity of Labour's policies that they don't dare afford him even symbolic legitimacy.

Ah, so it's their fault for not liking Corbyn rather than Corbyn's fault for being so marmite? Gotcha. The poor duck.

No Deal Brexit has already been stopped. It is illegal without the consent of Parliament and this Parliament will never vote for it.

On a related note, I cannot ever recall a time where there was so little talent at the top of any of the 3 major parties.
