Because he's pledged not to campaign for whatever options are available.

He is free to implement what the electorate decide. As either side of Brexit simply don't listen to each other, it's a pretty deft position to create, each side can continue to throw stones at each and Corbyn if they like, and let the rest of get on with politics and our lives, win win chicken dinner.

A crap deal or Remain great 2nd referendum hey ho pathetic from Corbyn the dangerous hero.........
A 2nd referendum should be a rerun of the first in or out.....
The EU smacking their lips if that idiot gets in power........

I know, in fact only this morning I was thinking how seriously big business is dealing with the housing crisis in London.

That in a nutshell is the problem, if Labour got in power they would be able to come up with policies to address issues like that. To get in power (& I mean really - not part of some rainbow coalition) then they have to appeal to the people who usually vote Tory and Lib Dems. Yes it dilutes the ideology and what truely can be realistically done to address the wealth imbalance, but it is the only way to help push a social based agenda. Or you can just have the imbalance without helping the most needy in society.

Find a staunch remainer you can trade tropes and leave the rest of us to get on with it.

In a one word answer, yes.

I know this for a fact because I live in a flat built under such a system (the one during Livingstones' time, where permission was only usually granted for development if a certain % of the stock was social housing (and I mean actual social housing, not "affordable" as it currently means) rather than them handing over Section 106 money or building "amenities" in the development as they currently do. They could also build units themselves, which lets face it is how most social housing (or now ex-social housing) was built.

I campaigned for remain in 2016, but I don't believe that the Labour Party should take a side in any referendum that were to occur.

Certainly not without explaining what it is going to do to fix the reasons why so many people voted Leave in the first place. I'd imagine a lot of the voters of the sort that Joey pretends to be will be imagining that once Remain wins, the attention of the political class will go back to enriching itself and the rest of the country will be allowed to float merrily on down the stream as it was before 2016.

They are not wrong to think that either.
