Unreal take

For anyone else yes, but Hodges is the same person who put an article out with a headline "WE MUST KILL VAMPIRE JEZZA" the week after Jo Cox's murder and who works for a paper whose record on being racially divisive extended to praising actual Nazis.

Unreal. I am no Corbyn fan, but imo he is divisive in the Labour party, and a billion miles from being in the same league as the right wing nutjobs emboldened by Brexit/Trump/BJ.

However, he is the best thing that happened to Brexit. Any competent opposition leader could have killed it, praise be Jeremy..........

I think Corbyn wants Brexit. He did sod all for the Remain argument..... I think with a fair government promotion without the project fear that the leave vote would have been higher.....,

I agree re Corbyn, it's well known he doesn't have much time for the EU.

I was just interested that you mentioned that a competent leader could have quite easily quashed Brexit. Do you think it would be the same case if there was a second referendum and Remain came out and pressed harder?

Not now. Boris will throw the might of the government machinery in explaining why we should come out and its benefits. There will not be a second referendum......

I'm not so sure, Pete. There is still no appetite in Parliament for a no deal Brexit (and I think it would be veto'd). Likewise, the backstop is still a problem in getting a deal over the line.

Other than the fact that Johnson has a mandate to have a second bite of the cherry, has much really changed? We're still in a deadlock position as far as I can see.

The attorney general has suggested that legally Boris can take us out even if there is a vote of no confidence.....I’m no lawyer but I respect his opinion.......

But the last attorney general said the opposite and argued it's just not tenable for a Government to push for a hard Brexit.

Realistically, if a vote of no confidence is triggered, do you really think we would still leave without a deal? It may be legally possible, but in reality would that be allowed to happen?
