When this:"Following the September 2016 Labour Party conference, when Walker proposed extending Holocaust Memorial Day to include pre 1940 genocides such as the Atlantic slave trade, she was suspended from party membership at the end of September". can get you branded then it just highlights how the right wing press has succeeded in making Labour a party walking on egg shells.
 
Chris Williamson is 100% right in his claims that "anti'semitism" in Labour's ranks has been weaponised and being used against the left leadership to destabilise it.

I see that mess Watson has jumped in to the fray demanding Wiilaimson be suspended...the same Tom Watson that took over half a million quids worth of bungs to proterct the name of SS uniform wearing freak Max Mosley.

It's like Alice in Wonderland, it really is.

Suspended. Something rotten in the PLP and it isn't Corbyn or anti semitism.

You're right, it is. He just cant shut up criticising the Blairite-lite wing of the party and that's why he was targetted.

This is without a shadow of a doubt, modern day McCarthyism.

its not McCarthyism; Williamson is doing all this himself knowing what the reaction will be.

Confused here. Watson was elected deputy leader of the LP by the same folk who voted for Corbyn as leader. Or is it another Watson I am unaware of?

In the same way that Corbyn was first proposed as an 'appeasement' candidate (but not expected to get more than the 'loony left' vote), Watson, iirc, was likewise an appeasement to try and created a bridge within the party and create a bit more unity (that went well), but has done his utmost to act on behalf of outsiders insstead.

I wont pretend to be an expert on the internal workings of the LP. But his supporters, (JC) will routinely explain he holds the mandate of the membership cos they voted for him in a democratic election.

Was Watson elected by different people in a different (undemocratic) election?

Because the left didn't have a dog in the fight - he was up against two humungous Blairttes and he was considered the least virulent of them.
