Objecting to Israel's treatment of the Palestinian people isn't anti-Semitic. It's the only reasonable stance to take.

He was elected democratiacally to be the DEPUTY LEADER not the LEADER.

True, but when you have a complicit media campaign and a coup within supported by external forces, that's a lot of fires to tackle at the same time as the country is in the biggest crisis for a generation...what do you do? What are your prioritied?

I am in doubt that there are a minority of absolute weirdos/racists within the 500,000 membership who are antisemites and they need to be booted out as soon as possible.

The problem is as you say, there are those who conflate antisemitism with criticism of Israel. Rachel Riley of all people being number 1 in this respect. Certain MPs who have despised Corbyn from day one have jumped on this bandwagon because they believe it's winner.

It wouldn't surprise me that in a few years time once they've seen off the threat of a socialist government that the media will actually admit Labour wasn't institutionally antisemitic and the problem was blown out of proportion.

Like I said mate, not that well versed in the internals of the LP. Was just intrigued why @davek wanted Watson deselected when he was voted in by the same electorate that voted Corbyn in.

Is it Corbyns biggest itch right now? Very much doubt it, like you allude to.

With the media eager to jump on anything to do with this, Labour MPs need to be more careful. I can understand why he’s been suspended. Labour can’t be seen to allow a rejection of the anti Semitic narrative from an MP.
