That's the duality of the issue, "I want my say and I know who I want to run the show, but I don't want it to be someone like me!"Many Brits don't like it when posh people aren’t in charge. People should know their place.
I can only assume they are generational family tory voters who believe in all the nasty of yesteryear. It's not even ancient history. Either the general public has forgotten the malign and harmful ways of thatcher et al, or are so closely aligned with it that they agree with it in full. The ridiculousness of the rampant rise of reform is another problem, the tories aren't racist and nasty enough for us anymore so 'we' will get our kicks elsewhere.
The Windrush scandal isn't even dealt with yet, how long before calls for that to be shelved permanently?
