And talking of Brexit, even our current Labour Minister of State for Trade seems happy as we join the CPTPP trade agreement in two weeks. Mind you there’s still time for Starmer to cock it up…….

Meanwhile the EU have spent 25 years negotiating a trade deal with Mercosur which still hasn’t been agreed……

I was on the fence about putting something about Rowling in the middle as for once Dave is on the money there, but as he's undercut himself massively by lending his vote to a party led by a man on the same page as her in the trans debate I decided against it.
Utterly desperate.

I'm living in your head.

Utterly desperate.

What's utterly desperate is the way you take a nuanced or complicated situation, then strip all of that out, reach for the biggest number you're left with and use it like a verbal cudgel, posting your own warped version of events as if it's settled fact. Not just regarding Labour of course, you've been utterly humbled by your ignorance in the Ukraine thread over the weekend, pants pulled firmly down to reveal a comedy pair of hammer & sickle boxer shorts.

Or at least would have been humbled had you any capacity for self-reflection rather than just a single-minded desire to plough ahead with the same daft nonsense:

" 'kin Starmer this, 'kin Zelenskyy that. Trump is swooping in to save the day. Anyone I don't like is part of the NATO war machine. " Just on and on it goes.

Your hypocrisy is just too pompous to ignore, the so-called 'Socialist' that loudly brayed in favour of retaining a multi-millionaire Tory PM with vast offshore private wealth. A man who supposedly supports immigrants & free movement but loudly trumpeted his vote for party firmly against them. A man who supposedly holds progressive values but lined up behind a homphobic party leader. A man who supposedly champions consistency as a personal virtue but flip-flopped all over the place ahead of the election looking for a political home, and flip-flops about now depending on which position is the best one to launch an attack on Starmer from.

Every day is another chapter in an unfolding car crash for you on here, it's impossible to look away. Whether this is actually sophisticated performance art to see whether a unique combination of obstinance and ignorance drives engagement, or whether you're just unfortunately naturally like that, please don't change.

I see No.10 has commented on the master chef hoo ha. Now with all the issues going on regarding the budget, the war in Ukraine, the resignation of a minister, trade, farms, EV’s etc etc…what the hell are No.10 doing spending time commentating on some issue such as a grocer on master chef. Apart from jumping on the bandwagon and seeking some positive feedback from the voters, is there any chance they could actually spend some time sorting out the big issues facing the country or is spin the only thing they are interested in…….

Agreed
Listening to someone from no.10 talking about Greg Wallace was just odd.
It's not an issue for them to be involved with.

Sadly it seems to be the way politics is done these days, and be it a Tory or Labour government.

BBC is a public funded organisation, by that measure alone Politicians of all spectrums (not when its suits), do and should comment. Besides we have Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Media been part of government business since Majors Government of 92.

Not really given domestic abuse and concern this government has with women safety generally in the UK. Be amiss not to comment on allegations against Wallace. Given the recent changes in laws thus increasing protections for women. Of course our Media is only interested in Government when serving wealth of the rich.

We’ll start hearing about Labour’s plans to stop farmers being able to write off their Barbour coats and Hunter wellies as tax deductible.

Should have a game of bingo. Could call it "Serf distraction Bingo".

Actually need looking at tax deductible, work clothing needs to be "work only" not falling out pubs few pennies short of a pound in work clothes.
