I see. Fair point. For clarification, when I said “just speak to…” I was referring to reporters and TV folk who swarm around ‘celebrities’ not yourself…….
I'm glad someone got the reference
They unanimously blame Dyche. And what were their views ?…..
Totally agree, just speak to the generational farmers whose whole lives have been spent in farming…..
I think those around farming have pushed the like of farage and Clarkson forward as perhaps they think they’re likely to get more publicity or increase support . I’ve said a couple of times I think it probably has the opposite impact in terms of support , certainly it has with me .For clarification, when I said “just speak to…” I was referring to reporters and TV folk who swarm around ‘celebrities’ not yourself…….

In all seriousness, lots of the farmland around me is currently being sold for property development or is being repurposed from traditional farming into open farms, activity centres, shops, golf courses, etc.Sensible guys……
There are people seemingly outraged by the threat to British farmland but who weren’t remotely concerned as vast swathes were sold off .In all seriousness, lots of the farmland around me is currently being sold for property development or is being repurposed from traditional farming into open farms, activity centres, shops, golf courses, etc.
The traditional farm, particularly dairy farming, is struggling. But that's for a variety of reasons and they have been struggling for a long time.
However, there are a lot of farmers where I grew up, in the Ribble Valley, that will plead poverty, but most definitely aren't in poverty.

So you’re saying that the people who you know are basically completely philanthropic , god bless them .We are surrounded by farms and they do ok, they are not in poverty but neither are they rich. They would be very wealthy if they just sold up to developers, put their feet up and acted selfishly, but they don’t as they are family inter generation farms that believe in what they do…..
