There will shortly be hundreds of thousands having the whole week off and on the dole……
Stop the freehand outs. Make them work.

We shouldnt be giving money to millionaires when we've got homeless veterans.

All down in London, mid week, wearing Barbour jackets and riding quarter of a million £ tractors.

Marching through the streets slowly, blocking ambulances.

Etc etc etc

Where do you live, city, town or countryside ?…..I’m thinking city…..

Pete, we can't all be like you.

Nouveau riche, moved to rural Leicestershire and propping up the village with your largesse.

I'm fully expecting the revelation that you have brought a local farm too. To prop up jobs and preserve a community asset. At a loss.

The truly big reveal is to come. Pete is really.....

It's interesting with the farmer protests and the NFU

Recently Labour dropped their commitment to expanding the right to roam in England & Wales due to a campaign of lobbying by the NFU on behalf of landowners.

As a farmer/land stakeholder myself I am very disappointed by this as I really believe in land access and the right to roam is an important aspect of getting people more involved and active in the countryside

But it's very interesting that at this time the NFU are currently demanding public support for themselves and landowners while at the same time actively lobbying to prevent the same members of the public having more access to nature

I appreciate those around farming have took a kicking in this thread lately and I’ve certainly been involved. Immediately post budget I was in a position where I was willing even leaning to be persuaded that farming was , for a few reasons a special case . Since then the NFU and those protesting seem to have had a conveyor belt of millionaires, I don’t even mean people with a couple of mil , pleading poverty and the likes of Clarkson fighting their cause . I can only speak for me and my social circle but it feels like a massive own goal .
