Good watch that , basically illustrating what many of us have thought that a lot of it is manufactured outrage to protect the extremely wealthy circumventing inheritance tax.

I'm sure there's a massive amount of online disinformation being created by the same old suspects, targeting and then shared by the average farmers who are in no way impacted by any of this.

Then the likes of Clarkson pull the same Trumpian refrain of "If they can come for me then they can come for you too".

I'm still wondering why the Home Secretary didn't deploy any sort of policing yesterday for that invasion of the capital and its takeover of the seat of government.

Starmer's lot showing their deference toward the landed aristocracy who those clowns were doing the bidding of yesterday. No way 'Labour' would annoy their betters by arresting the serfs of such people.

Well I’m guessing that they were advised against it fir fear of you coming on here today and chastising Starmer for suppressing free speech or something

Still struggling to find a Starmer attack angle on this then?

Another good watch but , for reasons I’ll never understand , it seems people would rather get their ‘facts’ from farage and Clarkson .

People go through lives with narratives in their head to explain how the world works. It's a sad fact of modern times that most of us are probably not living the lives we thought we'd have. The Gen X cohort is now firmly embedded in middle age and even thinking strongly about their retirement, and maybe have elderly parents in houses and with bank accounts they'll never match. The millennial cohort are now all in their 30s & 40s, and perhaps remember career-successful home-owning parents of that age, but have realised now they'll never have those assets (and may still be in precarious employment rather than middle management etc).

Few people can really understand the huge global movements that have produced this state of affairs, so it's hard to fit them into their internal 'story' of their lives. Fewer still probably want to blame themselves for their own situation, so the last remaining explanation is to look for an easily explained scapegoat who has brought about their failure to achieve what they expected to.

So when someone comes along with a list of easy targets to blame (immigrants, the EU, 'alternative lifetyle' folk etc), suddenly people start nodding along because they've been offered something that they can fit easily into what they've been telling themselves the whole time. And once the idea is lodged it's far harder to convince them otherwise, no matter the actual facts.

In amongst all the going on this week, and with Starmer off on his Brazil jaunt (and sadly to miss PMQs today), I saw a brilliantly simple epithet for the man that we mustn't forget -

#NeverHereKeir

Health and Safety. Did you see the state of some of them, ruddy face, pot bellied, tweed covered walking heart attacks.

Probably would have killed half of them off with a flash of high viz.
