Well what is the Labour Party then? Like on here, we have folk wanting a full on purge of anyone not fully behind Corbyn. We have some who are life long Labour supporters not able to support the party any more. The majority of folk loath Blair, who is the LP most successful PM after all.

So I dont get what the concensus would be.

You appear to be quoting headlines and subjective snippets to suit an assassination attempt on someone's character, someone who has spent their entire career campaigning for peace and justice. Attack his policies, leadership or performance as a politician, I've read your political posts and your views on such things are worth reading, but this line being taken feels rather tawdry to me

....apparently the Gang of 7 applauded at a meeting of the Parliamentary Labour Party this evening. Obviously others are aware of the bullying and intimidation culture of Labour members. Such a shame.

Whether you are centre-left or a fully paid up member of the Labour party how it currently stands, this is not good news. It is the last thing they need and just perpetuates the view that Corbyn can't heal the divisions in the party. You would think most will lose their seats in any upcoming election, but even if a few independents win that is a few that Labour can ill afford.

While I'm sure people won't cry over some of these that have gone, there are some that should have had a bright future at the heart of the party. We will see what happens if and when the Corbyn experiment fails.
