Current Affairs The Labour Party

Because when people start talking about 'The establishment' like it's a bunch of shadowy ne'er-do wells pulling the strings it comes across as a bit conspiracy theorist. The ink hasn't even dried on the resignation letters and yet people such as yourselves are already deciding that 'The Establishment' will treat this group as a government in waiting.

It's interesting, today just reinforces a lot of the criticism that people have for the current Labour party and it's supporters. As soon as someone has an opinion that goes against the binary 'Socialism = Good, Capitalism = Bad' logic that seems to have developed in the group they are immediately decided to be in thrall of 'The Man.'

No doubt in my mind about that the establishment will treat this group as the sensible opposition and it will enjoy unwarranted media coverage as a consequence. .
If you think the establishment is an invention in my head and that there isn´t a wealthy, powerful elite who have a vested interest in controlling the politics of countries then fair enough.

He’s talked about imposing maximum wage, the state taking a percentage of shares. McDonnell has stated he’s a Marxist (only to back track) and Corbyn once stated that he doesn’t want to reform capitalism but overthrow.

Away from his policies you have the Venezuelan support for Chavez, the antisemitisem which runs rife through the entire party since he and his clowns showed up, his support for terrorism and relevant organisations such as the IRA and Hamas

And do you need the mirrored examples of erstwhile far right policies being played out? The percentage affected by them v the beneficiaries, then flip it, how many would benefit or be put on the breadline?

'My point of view isn't popular! Someone must be manipulating it!'

We don’t have a far right government though, nor a far right opposition. We have a conservative right government (whose policies I disagree with) but it’s not an argument to have someone who supports terrorism and antisemetic views in number 10

Glad his mate Chavez is doing a wonderful job watching millions of his people starve

"Expenses" ; now where have I heard news about that ?

So, an older person who has worked their entire life in a manual job earning enough to get-by decides that in retirement they want to serve their community by being a councillor and as such need to travel to various locations across the region to support their constituents needs and you think this should come out of their pension?? Marvellous
