All the best to you, the system is a bitch.
It really is. We pinned a lot of hope on an EHCP, fought like hell to get it and then wondered what the point was when nothing changed. The school remained underfunded, underqualified, unwilling to adapt/reason/listen. If anything it made things worse, as if they resented its existence. A SENCO told us it was pointless because they'd never get a specialist in because 'the pay is crap and no one wants to do it'.

I know, I am the father of two.

My point is, the ones with EHCPs will be getting their fees covered.

You know how hard it is to get an EHCP and how long it can take.
I don’t think the policy is to cover fees, it’s placing a tax on independent schools which can be claimed backed in cases where EHCP exist. It’s up the school on what that means for the learners ie will the school suck up the additional cost, will they increase fees to cover the shortfall - if so will this be a universal increase.

Labour are making a bit of a cockup of things. They're carrying on where the Tories left off.
Not good, that's Starmer's self appointed "gate keeper" gone. Was she scacrificed to quell the spiral of wages and freebies. Or an act of this so called Political ruthlessness. Time will tell. Still Labour doing there best too like Tories in chaos at the moment.

…I suspect her changing position is lots to do with her wanting it.

Bit, by bit, day by day, comes another piece of naivety from Starmer. How did it not occur to him that by giving away our strategic base in the Indian Ocean, that this would stir up the Argentinians over the Falklands. No doubt the EU and Spain will now be thinking similar over Gibraltar. The difference being that if the Argentines invade the Falklands again, British troops and no doubt some Falkland Islanders will pay the price of his cowardly naivety with their lives….

This was always going to be "given away" Pete. It was happening legally anyway. Of all the problems facing the country, a few tiny rocks on the other side of the world isn't really one.

Oh no, they are much, much, better at cocking up than the Tories……
That's where I will digress, this is where much of the media will create a bigger story about Labour messing up than they would with Tories. Became untainable
recently with Tories in the end such was calamitous governance and corruption. Just not having that Labour and Tores are judged equal. Think there is something in "cap doffing" defference for the Tories, even when others don't think they are doing it.

Or presented it was her decision. Not that I'm overly concerned about "nuts and bolts" of what we are being told. Fact she is gone without having this budget etc. Not good strategically. Interesting to see if "Starmers ruthlessness" and instinct transpires being as good in power as in opposition. I hope so...

It will be interesting to see what changes are made. Should be more politically focused on "working class people", doubt WFA becoming means tested would have come about the same way had McSweeney been in position from the onset.

I see after less than 100 days, the honeymoon period, Labour are just one point ahead of the Conservatives, and they don’t even have a leader yet…..

Bravo, Special K, Sir Freebie, Free gear Kier and Two tier Kier. Only you could turn a totally dysfunctional Tory party with lightweight potential leaders into a future party of government. Excellent job, oh with a special mention for Reeves who made the absolute ridiculous claim that she removed the pittance of the Winter Fuel Allowance from 10,000,000 aged people to stop a ‘run on the pound’, the most stupid remark any Chancellor could ever have made…..

We could have a chat about margins of error & the issues with using a single poll but what’s your view of the aggregated poll trends Pete?

“We’re all in this together”

Meanwhile…

Sorry you lost out on your “pittance” Pete.

We know you're only being concerned for the vulnerable in society like all good, kind hearted Tories.
