A Tory spokesperson said: "Keir Starmer and his top team have accepted thousands of pounds in freebie clothes whilst simultaneously consigning 10 million pensioners to a cold and hard winter.
"And not only have they loaded up on freebies whilst lecturing the public about integrity, morality, and tough choices - they also appear to have continuously failed to properly register these crony gifts."
Reform UK leader Nigel Farage said the row was a “political mess” for Sir Keir after he had tried to present himself as “different to the entitled Tories” and “holier than thou”.

Or when he gave a promotion to a man with sexual allegations made against him.

Stop pretending you give a toss about these things when you clearly don’t.

Now Reeves and Rayner are having to admit doing similar, the hypocrisy stinks, but you will continue to defend them while trying to invoke comparison with Boris who everyone knew what he was like before they voted for him. Starmer is a busted flush who now says he won’t accept clothes or glasses, while completely forgetting about his other freebies. But if you want to compare him with Boris, Boris didn’t stuff 10,000,000 pensioners based on a lie of filling a black hole, £9Billion of which Starmer created with his above inflation pay rises to his mates. Even now that the BoE have sorted out an additional £10Billion for him, he and Reeves are determined to create chaos for some of the poorest people in the country. If you are happy justifying it then I pity you…..

A lot of people are falling for the tactic that's no doubt been set by this government: divide and rule and have young set against old etc.

It's not a zero sum game. We can condemn both thr attack on pensioners and children / young adults.

You have fallen for the rabid right wing political media spin. Having your enemy enemies as ally will not end well for your politic, although increasingly i doubt the sincerity.

Be end of the political silly season once Labour conference is under way and looks like Starmer is learning with this incoming appointment, should have been in place for some time.

A very bad week for Starmer and Labour. One term and out no doubt. I honestly hoped that they would not have been this poor but at this rate the nation will be prepared to give your mob another go at the next election.
