Wrong it would go well. 2024 correctly, did you not predict it was going to be Johnson for many years!

I mean, I'm not going to list most things I've called correctly, as it's a bit mundane.

I called 2024 as a Labour win, it’s all in here. I called the Brexit result correctly, its delivery has been held up by the remoaners, and civil service. But it will come good…..

I’ve never supported any cuts to those that need support. This is no different. What is different is some on here making excuses for Starmer and Reeves, and some making jokes about it, just because it’s Labour doing it. Shameful really….

Do wealthy pensioners need support though? I mean, is there an issue of how this is means tested?

That seems to be Reeves mistake on this, where you draw the line.

I think that's just a fallacy Pete. There have been 3 elections and 6 PMs since the vote. Brexiteers has their majority. It stands and falls on its own merits now, as given the time that has passed has had time to judge it.

Look it may be a thing that magically turns around under Labour. My view in general, is if things/people aren't doing well, they rarely get better.

Where you draw the line is the issue. Wealthy pensioners do not need it, but the way they have drawn the line is both stupid and is about to cost more than they wanted to save. An unintended consequence is that many pensioners may now be better off, which is excellent imo, but NOT what Reeves and Starmer expected or set out to do. As I say, they have gained nothing, upset tens of millions of voters and shown themselves up as being politically naive……

You find in life, people who are unsuccessful always find an excuse as to why it's never their fault.
That feels like Brexit in a nutshell.

In this case, the one area of success that Johnson has, is that despite his obvious failings to most of those who have to endure him, he's convinced a small but dedicated group of gullible people into thinking he's a statesman of grandeur and a master strategist.

This man had a majority of 80. What was stopping him?

"the deep state and the trans people and wokes, and gays, and the victims of the met, especially the minority individuals, and women, can't forget them, and the sick, those lazy bar-studs aint worth a pish, and erm... oh the youth of today, they need conscription, and the liberals, the lawyers that seek to apply the law, the judges that disagree with me, the weather, foreign agents except my pals in the kgb, and yeah that should be enough flack to cover this latest fiasco."
