Shame for him, muddled his way through family life with Schizophrenia and has been properly exploited by employer to the point he was medically retired at 45 due to COPD through the shameful actions of his employers by not following "elf and safety". Also hard of hearing for years unknown to all, i can take no credit for hearing aids, that's NHS diabetic service. The bloke is walking encyclopedia of bird whistles, name the bird making whistle and he can.Good work bro.
Let’s go full on Tory attitude here, might as well play them at their own game.I thought socialism was about making sure those in need get help.
I didn't think socialism was about giving handouts to people sitting in million pound houses so they could heat a small continent.
Exactly… it was all about the “magic money tree”.Tory voters and the winter fuel allowance in a nutshell.
For the last 25 years - “Bloody Labour give handouts to everyone, it needs to stop”
(Labour make the winter fuel allowance means tested and take it away from people who don’t need it)
Tory voters - “I didn’t mean me! That’s disgusting etc etc etc”
economists huh...
truly disgusting approach which will not be forgotten indeed...

tip of your tongue? slipped your mind? passing fancy? conveniently misremembered? completely deleted from memory similar to how the BoE had to step in and shore up Sterling because billions had been completely deleted from economic worth??
"yeah but labour though" = "it wuz chelsea!"

He hasn’t lost the business trust. He has been in for a few weeks, the majority of that time most of business has been shut down for summer.I didn’t vote for Truss. Did you vote for Starmer. Truss is bad history but at least had the decency to resign, Starmer is now in charge and has already lost the confidence of businesses with his caving in to his paymaster unions, his deliberate increases in tax due in October and Rayner bringing in new union inspired rules that will affect business investment and recruitment. Anyway you’ll find out in October when your taxes go up and Council taxes also go up…remember you voted for this so enjoy…..
I’m happy to pay a bit more tax to live in a better society, Pete. It’s all about taking responsibility.I didn’t vote for Truss. Did you vote for Starmer. There's no magic wand. It's understandable that some people who backed Starmer and his gang in the election are holding upon the few crumbs of comfort that this might be a progressive government.
But the bigger picture is that austerity is going nowhere fast under the Red Tories. That has to be obvious to even their most forgiving supporters right now.
People will be dragged kicking and screaming to reality, because they've been potty-trained to view Labour as a force for good.
Sadly, and I speak as a life long LP supporter and sometime member, this lot are not Labour. They just aren't, and you can put any amount of red rosette and spin on it you want, but if Tory policy is being carried out they're Tories. End of story.

Anyone in business knows nothing gets done in July and August.
Try and have a bit of perspective. It’s nots a football team, you don’t have to blindly support or hate. The govt
Cannot have an effect or change in such a short space of time.
You can judge the govt after 4 years but not before.
It’s very difficult to point at the achievements or even positive changes made during the Tory / coalition rule. As much as Thatcher is despised you could see physically see changes being made that the tories wanted. I can’t see one thing that Tory voters can look at since Cameron came in that they can say, we achieved that. Except brexit if that’s your cuppa tea?
Or paying to heat Joeys polytunels either.I thought socialism was about making sure those in need get help.

Lol.There's no magic wand.
The Tories have ruined this country whilst giving billions to their mates.
It's going to take time to correct.
If after 2 terms there's no change then maybe I will look at other options.
Big deals don’t close in July and August.I think you’ll find he has

Also over the last fifty years I must have missed the bit where business did nothing in July and August……
