At what cap should the winter payments been placed at?

The NI are a huge help to the working class, and allowing me the right to save and spend my hard earned money.

Really pensioners are lucky the pension age has been so low for decades given the average life expectancy, it should already be 70.

By time I retire it will be over 70 if not closer to 75, due to the selfish nature of the current older population. Who wants to take every penny they can.

Joint income of 50 grand or inline with income tax level where the rich get the benefit - Alan Sugar gets it & he's a billionaire etc -

I can remember way back, rich OAPs donating their whole pension to Charities abroad - have they not heard of a GDP Foreign aid budget? - It is a nonsense over a certain Tax band at the middle range no winter fuel allowance for pensioners - that would have been easier to implement & fetched more income in & quote Keir Starmer election promise - no austerity from a Labour Government - two weeks & that pledge was broken - I will not miss it, although I am not a rich fat cat -

I notice she left the affluent bankers bonuses alone is that because she was a banker ?

I am afraid I voted Labour like Blair's Governments a Tory in a red rosette - his building of new academy schools & new hospitals on PFI we are still paying for then with dodgy concrete - I hate the Tories - but if Starmer is going down the lines of austerity he will be out in one term at this rate -

I do feel sorry for OAPs just a few £s over the pension credit limit as their partner has a small private pension - Reeves has gone in the incorrect way IMO - take the unfunded NI rises back - & bang 9 billion back from the 22 billion black hole instantly -

What's next, kick the sick ? She is reviewing the Tories green paper instead of shredding it into a waste paper bin where it belongs ....

Starmer before the election - medical reviews will be stopped it's costing us billions ..... don't hold your breath if you have a loved one who is really ill....

Movement of people to places of greater resource or away from danger is about as close as you can get to natural human behaviour. It’s always happened and will likely increase.
Anti immigrant rhetoric is driven by chancers and to distract from failed government, appealing to the worst parts of humanity culminating in these horrific institutions and policies.
There doesn’t have to be a middle ground sort of speak, just a concerted effort stop to fear mongering and dehumanising people.

Problem always was kicking the can down the road Bibby Stockholm/ Centres/ Hotels, rather than the cheaper option of actually processing asylum seekers. Hopefully this is the start of empathetic process. Certainly don't want see what we had under the Tories etc.

Something in voucher scheme instead of cash PIP payments, in particular where its comorbid, lost count of forty year old's who end up dead because they have severe mental health issues which entitles them to PIP and substance misuse which PIP ultimately ends funding habits. On my second dead service user this year, both heavy users of recreational drugs and along with medications to manage schizophrenia, no chance of making old bones.

Please tell me what's that got to do with my critical post of Starmer & Reeves ? - Jeremy Corban got a better vote share & failed to win only Reform like them or loathe them & the Liberals put Starmer into power - in two weeks he broke one of his pledges - = NO AUSTERITY - I would assume by that the bankers the rich that Osborne & Cameron who ruined this country with austerity - Osbourne the barstwerd praised her for doing that ....
Petrol is forecast to go up in the budget when oil prices atm are an all-time low ....

Labour will last one term, mate .... if this proceeds ..... 9 billion she could have got back it is illegal in Local government to spend money you have not got - so she could have just reversed the Two NI deducts to get 9 billion back legally - bankers bonuses left alone

I will give them a chance, but that was a blinding mistake - a disabled person just above the threshold of pension credit - need fuel to charge their appliances - Gas & electric going up 12% in the Autumn !

Gordon Brown introduced the winter fuel allowance - Starmer took it away in two weeks - yes have a cut of level - but not as low as she has imposed it is saving pennies with a £22 billion black hole - & hitting the poor - not a very socialist thing to do IMO - hit the NI that was illegal imposed by the last government that favoured the rich ..... £9 billion back her excuse it was done illegally as the funds were not vernated form one budget to another which is legal .....

I am worried about Reeve's the ex Banker - & Starmer stated no Austerity & bang what ever part of the public who got it was in some cases the poor, disabled etc who will now suffer - yes by all means take the fuel allowance of the rich people who don't need it a certain tax bracket etc - my late best mate used to claim pension credit - he had a safe loaded with moneys under his floorboard 5 VW camper vans on his front when the interest rates were low - that's what people will do in the future .....

Labour should hammer the rich - he trusted no governments .....

Last time Labour got a lead this big, it took Tories 4-6 terms to win a proper majority.

They are much further behind now. Labour are in for the next 30 years.
