I am willing and ask the same. However I do demand that Labour take responsibility from the moment they took charge. The Tories ran this country into the ground and eventually were kicked out and if Labour take responsibility and they don't go for the kamikaze style over-spending for little to no return of the last government then the Conservatives could be out for more than one term.I'm willing to pay more taxes to do my bit in trying to get the country working again. I'm willing to see things that benefit me get cut to do my bit in trying to get the country working again. I accept that people I don't agree with will get help from the state if they need it.
All I ask is that the government tries to do its best within rational grounds.
And yet we have people raging at benefit scroungers, who complain that their benefits are being means tested, who forgive the Tories 14 years of incompetence and tens of billions of waste, yet who demand that Labour take responsibility 3 weeks in for trying to scrape 500 million from somewhere.
They'd probably dismiss any countenance of closer ties to the EU to try and up our growth as well. I have very little to no sympathy for these people, they are the enemy within.
Alignment of our trading/ manufacturing/ standards with the EU is eminently sensible in promoting growth and should help with trade and relations after the bungling of Brexit. Stopping the insane Rwanda plan also sensible.
What I am worried about is the the halting of infrastructure projects that can also promote growth and introduction of new taxes just to pay the price for union support- I want those public sector workers to regain their standard of living but I have a huge nagging doubt about the way Labour will do this will be to pull non-public sector workers and benefit claimers more into the mire.
I do hope I am wrong but I will be criticising them as hardly as I did the Tories. Maybe more so as I expect better from them.
