More than a bit patronising that mate. Everyone is well aware of all sorts of issues the UK has, its just that Brexit has kind of taken centre stage at the moment.

Indeed, though there is more than a bit of the “but it’s ME being affected” when it comes to the vocal Remain crowd, who after all seemed less bothered about workfare, agency labour, the scarcity of stable work /social housing, the hostile environment, the cost of university or (and this is especially) the leadership of the Labour Party ignoring the membership and fixing selections.

Brexit will be a disaster, but it should educate the FBPE people about what this Government is because at the moment many of them seem to think the Government are the best possible people to run a second referendum.

....the no confidence vote is backfiring on Labour because it’s rallying the Tories at the point they were ready to implode. The debate also plays to highlight Corbyn’s frailties. What a pity the two main parties lack a creditable leader.

He's following policy that was voted for by party members last year.

Was it? I could have sworn she won a leadership challenge last month, and can’t now face one of another 11 months.

It's rather silly looking at this as a one off chance. Galvanizing the Tories is good, shows how inconsistent they are, in 24 HR period they are voting against their flag ship policy, inflicting a huge defeat, then backing the same PM for party reasons. And It was never going to succeed just as Mays deal was not going to succeed. No confidence lose, won't matter if not first time not even second, Labour can go at this many times as process moves and when either ERG get their way or Tory remainers get their way is when it will happen.

....the DUP will be the key to any no-confidence vote. It’s hard to think of anything Corbyn could offer that will sway them to vote against the Government.

The only way Corbyn wins a vote of no confidence is with Tory support, and the only way that happens is if the Commons comes up with a deal it can pass (whether that is a customs union or a 2nd ref) or starts along the road of doing that, and it is blocked by the PM - and one of those two things will happen, because based on her comments throughout she is never going to offer either of them.

So this will be down to Boles, Soubry, Johnson Minor, Grieve and the rest of the Tory remainer "rebels".

I would not hold my breath in the hope that they put Remain / the public interest / their own past statements over party loyalty.

...i’m old and I think May’s is the most shameless and lacking in value Government I have seen.

Oh it is - and yet if you look at the papers and the output of the commentariat, a very large chunk of what this government has done since 2010 is Corbyn's fault.

Truly detestable fella, this Jeremy Corbyn. A good friend of mine works for the Labour party and tells me that Corbyn is pretty much universally disliked within the party. Hardly surprising.
