It could hardly be more chaotic than the present one. Three Prime Ministers, cabinet ministers lasting mere days in their posts, a different Education Secretary virtually every year, clueless incompetents like Rees-Mogg, Chris Grayling, Liz Truss and Dominic Raab in the cabinet; how much worse could it get?

Yes, yes he is.
I urge you to go and read some of his other work because he is perhaps the least partisan senior political writer in the UK.

Think it's more about Starmer being PM leading a party he's created in his own image. A Labour PM who's tried his best to stamp out true socialism. What sort of seat numbers do the people expecting or hoping for a hung Parliament think we'll end up at?
Because I'm struggling to see how a Lab/Lib coalition is any better than just giving Centrist Keir the seats anyway, I'm sure that any prospective deal with the SNP will collapse over Independence, and the Greens/Workers won't have anywhere near enough MPs to make a difference. Sure, Dave has mentioned a wave of Socialist Independents beating out Labour candidates but by definition they won't have any collective bargaining power (ironic) to demand anything out of a formal agreement with Labour to lend them votes. Sure, they might 'unionise' into a party during Parliament, but that won't get to happen until after a Government is formed.
I've tried my best, don't know how I can help you any more but... Sitting MP with large majority over decades who has the party whip. What needs considering about them defending the seat? Can you dumb it down a little for me please, them comprehension skills remember, re "a disgrace by Starmer to "consider" ". That'd be great.
Good that you have the confidence that a change of government will bring about changes in how the country is run.Just sad reading about political debates these days, never about what will actually will help people and their daily lives.
All I am reading on here is this person or party is a lefty or right wing or too central and needless point scoring.
Surely no one here needs to debate that now a month before the election.
And really attacking someone's political views, as I'm right and your wrong. Is really below the belt as we live in a democracy that's enables people to speak freely and embrace all views and cultures.
All I care about is what they will offer to help make life easier.
My vote currently would be labour, as Tories have failed on promises made while in power for what has been 14 years now. And hasn't eased anyone lives and is actually squeezing it harder and harder while public services continue to falter. And I've had enough of it.
