The problem as I see it is that it is very difficult for labour to make any tangible difference. 5 years of perceived weak governance and then the Tories come in with a toxic populist agenda and we’re in a horrible place.

People will expect things to be fixed in 12months and when its not, thats when the trouble starts.
The Mail, Scum, Telegraph etc will be on the attack on a daily basis.

For me? Some of us have principles, toryboy.
My personal principles revolve around making sure the Tories never rule.
If that means voting for Sir KS, well thats what its gonna have to be.
Thankfully the Labour Party is so much more than 1 person.
Might as well, Dave's coward streak is on full display at the moment and he's been run out of Dodge for a bit. He'll try to come up with answers, realise he can't do it and just come back tomorrow with " 'kin Starmer, 'kin rat" or some such hoping to relaunch the thread on safer ground where he gets to just rant over and over.
But my question is still hanging over you Dave, like the Enquiry of Damocles:
Is it so important to you that the Tories get back in before we enter the promised Utopia? Would it be that bad for Starmer get 5 years before the Socialists batter him out of office?
