We're in a post truth world now where opinion holds as much weight as fact.

What he said whether you are a lip reader or not depends on your politics.
What he actually said is irrelevant.

At the end of the day it's an obvious distraction tactic.
"Don't look at us subverting democracy, holding parliament in contempt and bringing British politics into disrepute, look over there at the bloke muttering under his breath."

And they all fall for it. Like a dog legging it off into the distance chasing a ball that you kept in your hand when you pretended to throw it.

Anyone who is prepared to turn the most important debate in the House of Commons for 40 years into a pantomime and get away with it in full view of the public must believe they can get away with anything including smearing the leader of the opposition.

And we call this democracy.

That's factually incorrect, to say something is to be heard. Nobody heard him say anything in this instance, hence the imprecise science of lip reading opinions being wheeled out!

I’ve seen it a few times more, and everyone will have their own view, but for me it looks like he said it.

At the end of the day though there is worse things going on in the world to worry about.

Of course. The whole thing is a waste of effort. He said it, we all know he said it. Why he didn’t just agree and say that she is a stupid woman I’ll never know. But he resorted to type, which is to deny and tell lies, which unfortunately for him will wreck his credibility. When will people in power realise that truth is always better than lies and fabrications.......

I wonder which would get more votes, this, or a counter-move by the Tories to 'clean up the streets'. My money's on those who cba walking past them on the way to work/ getting asked for spare change providing more votes, especially if the mail/Telegraph do a few 'professional beggar' stories...

Oh deffo this is Briton under the Tories they rely on people who read that crap not giving a [Poor language removed] about people living on the streets and guess what most of them don't.

Perhaps more alarming than whether Corbyn called anyone stupid is his renewed support for Brexit in his latest Guardian interview, largely on the basis of apparent resistence to state aid by EU policy. Suffice to say, it's got various aspects of the Labour party up in arms about it.

Given how tuition fees dealt a hammer blow to the Lib Dems, I'm sure Corbyn fans on here will be along any minute to decry the great man for doing something so wholly opposed by the young people of this country.

You mean the interview where he restates what was pledged in the last manifesto, while also mentioning his personal preference is secondary to that of the membership's, who ultimately decide the party's direction?

This is old news, rebadged as something to get the Peoples Vote crowd's backs up. The Guardian needs their navel-gazing opinions section filling up, I suppose.

The idea of Democracy is lost on some, totalitarian rule comes in many guises, fortunately Corbyn prefers democracy.

So what's the point of him then if he simply does whatever the membership tell him to? If he is merely a vessel through which the membership decide Labour policy, then he should have said exactly that and not offered his own, contradictory, opinion on the matter. It merely confuses matters and suggests the leader of the Labour party isn't doing a great deal of leading. I accept that he could be behind Trump in the queue for mowing people down and his followers not so much as blinking though ;)
