#ResignWatson trending on Twitter eh? Wonder why...

Oh, it's because he has opinions that differ to Dear Leader. Naughty boy.

Probably something to do with the fact that he's constantly attempted to undermine a democratically elected leader on three separate occasions, destabalising the party whilst those in dire need for a reformative Labour government suffer under a Tory government.

I'd love it if Corbyn was to be a bit more Stalinist about it, to be honest. High time we get rid of the careerist political class from our party, and replace them with local working class people.

What, like Corbyn did constantly on the back benches, pretty much non-stop in fact?

If Watson was being a 'careerist' here, he'd tow the line and 'be a good boy' - no, all he's done is state a contrary opinion, which is something that ironically Corbyn has done his entire political career.

One rule for one, another for everyone else. What a 'broad church' Corbyn has built with his 'gentler kind of politics' that features online hate mobs, grassroots deselection threats to anyone with any dissenting view and anti-semitic councillors all over the shop.

Also, bold bit - good lord did you really just type that? It'd be like a Tory saying "I'd love it if May was to be a bit more Hitler about it, to be honest"... :S

First of all, Jeremy Corbyn stood up for Labour values from the backbenches - and always did it in a respectful manner. He didn't go to Blair and call him a "ducking warmonger".

Tom Watson stood for the deputy leadership on the platform of backing Corbyn's leadership. He has failed to do that, so it's only just for the membership to act upon his failure.

I've been involved in the Labour Party since 2007, and there's more discussion about policy now than there was under Blair, Brown and Miliband. It's a broadchurch, not a highchurch. The membership must be given a say in who represents the party, especially given how we're the party that emphasises the importance of democracy over anything else.

Also, bold bit - good lord did you really just type that? It'd be like a Tory saying "I'd love it if May was to be a bit more Hitler about it, to be honest"... :S

Don't be such a snowflake.

Given your leanings Tubey it is a bit mad that you can present Tom Watson, the man who after all led the revolt that forced Blair out and the man who had to resign for one of the worst candidate selection scandals in Labour's history, as someone who has merely expressed a contrary opinion.

Rather Watson goes than Corbyn. He doesn't add anything to Labour's electability.

Who else might be a useful number 2?

Nothing in this.

And yet, when faced with one of the most useless Prime Ministers in UK history, Corbyn still is consistently behind May, poll after poll, when asked who would make the best Prime Minister, while the party overall does slightly better but still miles off where they should be given the circumstances.

Aren't Labour ahead in the polls?
