They really don’t but I guess this is part of your performative act as Super Socialism Man. If the whole of the voting public thought like you do then Labour wouldn’t be massively ahead in the polls.

No one is voting for him. His personal popularity in polls is desperate. Starmer’s net approval rating is -9.

Here's your hero:

Glad to see that spineless get receive the welcome he deserved in Glasgow.

It's not that long since an MP was killed, yet people celebrate causing havoc mischief and harrassment ..

And they really seem to believe Netanyahu is sat by the phone waiting for the leader of the uk opposition to call for a ceasefire. Stuck between childish or ridiculas to be honest.

I will say that it's not great that Cooper seems to be complaining largely about the inefficiency of the scheme rather than the basic fact that by forcibly sending people to another country against their will (with money changing hands in the process), we're little better than the people traffickers we claim this scheme is designed to stop.

meanwhile the Tories are busy checking the bank accounts of the unemployed, trying to see if they can get their benefits cut or even stopped, priorities eh. By the way goes without saying I agree wholeheartedly with Bruce's original quote about people being forcibly moved to other Countries against their will, basic human rights. This a truly horrible Government.

Political strategy. The Tories want you to say they are wrong. That moves the discussion to ethics and thus culture, and is the battlefield where they're comfortable and strong as much of the media will follow attack line. Starmer leadership has been consistently focusing on their lack of competence. It's where the Tories pretend they're strong.
And seems like a fair point to highlight to me. After all, regardless of the scheme itself, it's been an absolute colossal waste of money as you post our public services are in a mess.

Oh I don't doubt that politically it probably makes sense.

Just as well as who wants an opposition be it principled in left ideology yet protest party that returns thumping right wing majorities. Only right wing Tories want that... Don't they?

I would personally like the labour party to have an alternative to the Rwanda scheme when they come into power.

Hopefully we will hear more during the election campaign on what that alternative is.
