I think there's a fair chance Dave is calling this right. Starmer is a bad snide, offering little more than the status quo. I wouldn't trust him as far as I could piss him. The country is in such a mess I think a lot of people dont realise just how bad. Those expecting quick improvements are going to be very disappointed, and I can see any goodwill towards Labour evaporating quite quickly.

I would love to be proven wrong, and I still want the Tories out. I'm expecting nothing from Labour but a slightly more competent shafting though.
👍

I disagree about “radical policies” Dave - what will sort the country and the economy out are very simple, very basic policies that have already been demonstrated to work, and overseeing them competently and honestly.
Which policies though. Nationalisation of failing private utilities is off the table for Starmer's lot. Taxation to pump into crumbling welfare and NHS systems - not on the agenda.

Of course hes right.

There is no magic wand that can fix this country.

Its on a slippery slope, Labour wont be able to correct its free fall.

But at least they wont be Tories.
Oh well that's ok then. Starmer gets to tick another one off his bucket list and all's ok.

What a motivation to vote for that authoritarian market-controlled tit.

What’s the alternative Dave? Come on, show us the future.

I want Pep at Everton after a buy out from Kuwait. It’s not going to happen though.

I agree with his points but lets face it under the current voting system our choices are Tories or Labour unfortunately. Abstaining from voting or voting in protest only helps the Tories and given the last 13 years, we should be doing everything we can to get rid.

They may not get much better under labour but the can get 10 times worse under the Tories.

We need Labour in then a major push for Electoral reform which Tories will never allow. It the only way we can start a change in politics.

I also think a new Labour party needs to be started as this one is now Tory lite

The alternative has to be built.

You won't get it under Starmer that's for sure.
Possibly not, but if he helps get rid of the Tory’s it’s a good starting point.

Then the younger generation of Labour can come through such as Streeting and bring some integrity back to U.K. politics. I’d also expect to see Ed Milliband feature prominently moving forward too.

It will somehow feel safer without these coked up pig fkrs running the show,

Jesus 'kin wept.

That death-stare arsehole is worse than Starmer.

Get used to campaigns like this ^^^ being rebuffed by 'Labour' as they hand over the NHS fully to the private sector.

Integrity isn't a word I'd ever associated with Wes Streeting before. Hate that cocknose.

Of all the younger generation of Labour MPs with some integrity, you chose Wes Streeting??

Well we 100% wont get it under the Tories.

We will only get a chance under starmer though. Tories wont move from FPTP as its allowed them to stay in power. There is enough push within Labour for reform.

Get that. Then we can talk about getting a decent left party as Labour has gone.
