Quelle surprise
The torys ripped apart every service we have and now, when we are in crisis, there is no lower the services can fall. EVERY bit of this is on them.

Have you got a link to this report? I've looked through the DoH website and can't find it https://www.gov.uk/search/research-...e&parent=department-of-health-and-social-care

I mean it's not "that" helpful as the Guardian doesn't bother to link to the report eitherBeing the kind soul I am, I looked back on the original tweet and found where the original source was from

Qualities in journalism are bloody awful.NHS ADHD waiting times for assessments are up to 3 years in and around London. No, of course it's not, but equally the NHS was struggling on in 2019. The mess we're in right now, where it's struggling to do basic things, is down to what happened in 2020-2022. None of the people handwringing at the moment were banging this drum in 2019. It's the current stick and then they'll move on to something else. I mean how many of the commentariat are talking about Afghan refugees any more? It sadly creates an impression that they care less about the issue at hand than they do about using that issue to beat their political opponent. They are to the left what Hartley-Brewer and those ghouls are to the right.
Were assessments taking place during lockdown?NHS ADHD waiting times for assessments are up to 3 years in and around London.
Are we blaming that on covid as well?
Bruce, are you specifically asking me to locate a report for you by the Kings Health Fund? I mean, give them a call if it’s that important to you mate.I mean it's not "that" helpful as the Guardian doesn't bother to link to the report eitherQualities in journalism are bloody awful.
I'll try again, which of these is it? https://www.kingsfund.org.uk/publications
Good question actually. Mine was all done via video call, though, so there’s no need for in person appointments. Were assessments taking place during lockdown?
I remember trying to get a phone consultation for breathing difficulties when the swine flu epidemic was in full swing, but couldn't get through cos of crackling on the line....Good question actually. Mine was all done via video call, though, so there’s no need for in person appointments.
I'm asking to see the actual report the article was based on rather than rely on the journalist's interpretation of it, yes. Why is that so much to ask? The King's Fund usually do good work so I've no doubt the report would be good quality, but I can't find one on their website that's titled "the government suck", so I'm wondering which one it was taken from.Bruce, are you specifically asking me to locate a report for you by the Kings Health Fund? Aye, fair dos. I know there have been well documented increases in the need for various mental health services as a result of the stress associated with the pandemic. I don't know the impact it had on the delivery of those services, but from a relative position of ignorance, that provision always seemed wholly inadequate to meet the demand. Whenever we've needed any mental health support, we never looked to the NHS for it as we've always assumed it wouldn't be available. It's not good.Good question actually. Mine was all done via video call, though, so there’s no need for in person appointments.
Well yes it is actually as contrary to what seems to be popular belief, I don’t actually work for you, so go find it your kin self lolI'm asking to see the actual report the article was based on rather than rely on the journalist's interpretation of it, yes. That's fair enough. You shared something to make a point without having read it. That's cool. People do it all the timeWell yes it is actually as contrary to what seems to be popular belief, I don’t actually work for you, so go find it your kin self lol

Look I know the guardian is left leaning, but I’m pretty sure (I think) that they would not have printed that without seeing the report condemning the Tory’s fur the damage they have done to the NHS. Maybe they would be a good starting point for you if you want to get really in balls deep with it.That's fair enough. You shared something to make a point without having read it. That's cool. I'm not being funny, but the only report I can find from them around that time is this one - https://www.kingsfund.org.uk/sites/default/files/2022-12/Strategies to reduce waiting times 2022.pdf - which was commissioned by the DoH. You might agree after reading it that it's not really a report "condemning the Tory's" but rather just looking at various approaches that could be used to reduce waiting lists. It's actually a good report because it doesn't descend into the "one party good, one party bad" that is so common in any discussion around the NHS and looks at things from a more sober and evidence based vantage point.Look I know the guardian is left leaning, but I’m pretty sure (I think) that they would not have printed that without seeing the report condemning the Tory’s fur the damage they have done to the NHS.
