I actually think that's Labours plan too. Keep Johnson in as long as possible.

I think truss would be a disaster, particularly in red wall seats, she doesn't have any of Johnsons 'likeable' character and is a terrible interviewee

Rwanda is a thoroughly bad idea.

Strikes are the right of any worker but meaningful talks are the best way of resolving that dispute.

They are right on both, and with regards to the railways I wish that for once government actually had a proper look at where the money is being wasted in that sector and did something about it. I mean, they (and this has been something Labour, the Coalition, the Cameroons, May and now Johnson are all guilty of) are not giving all that taxpayers money because of overpaid signalmen, track gangs, station staff or even drivers; they are paying it because the system (franchises, ROSCOS and all the rest) was set up in a thoroughly inefficient way, probably deliberately.

Johnson is trying a cosplay of bringing back BR but he should really go the whole hog and re-nationalise it - costs would come down both in the short and long terms, subsidies would fall as a result (as would ticket prices) and it would actually be politically popular. It would probably even result in reducing the bargaining power of train drivers as they'd be no longer able to bounce between firms.

Rwanda is a cop out ,for not getting it right at home,
Lost control of immigration, lets get some cheap headlines.
Rail unions have a proud tradition of leading the socialist fight against are oppressor, and are the beating ? of the party.
So should be backed no matter what the tory media and there lick spital fools who take any notice of it say.
Not sure that's really the party line but it should be.

The UN didn’t send Libyan people.
Libya was (is) in the midst of a civil war. The UN rescued African migrants from Libya and took them to Rwanda. It’s a totally different scenario.

As Jebus said in another thread though, what did people really expect? You have Farage saying just this prior to the referendum
