R.I.P. Labour Party…you are right of course, Boris is getting slated from all the media, his own party and the public, and Starmer still cannot lay a glove on him or generate support for Labour. Starmer is a waste of space, he is no politician, people wouldn’t follow him to the pub bar even if he bought the drinks….unless the Tories themselves bring down Boris he is safe, and they will win the next GE…..

To play devils advocate Pete, they dont need to lay a glove on the Tories.

They are anywhere from 5-8 points clear in the polls, and have all the partners to form a government with if the Tories cant get to 320+.

The tories offer of support for energy prices, the Rwanda plan and even starting the Rwanda plan have not shifted the dial on polling. Neither did a budget with tax cuts etc.

There was polling done recently on a Labour 4% national lead, and it showed Tories losing 85 of 88 seats polled. If they pulled more theyd likely be losing more. If they pulled Lib Dem and SNP seats, likely theyd be losing them. This was without factoring in tactical voting, or that Labours lead is higher than implied.

Essentially, he doesnt have to take any risks does he? Theres half an hour left and hes 2-0 up. Hes time wasting and playing for the corner flags.

For the Tories I think its sinking in Johnson has to go. Hes not a popular figure and never really was. He is Labours best hope.

Never trust the Polls. Labour are always ahead in these, then the Tories come out and vote….

Well Labour arent really are they mate? For a long time Labour have been behind.

I'd also add that there was an election recently, and the Tories didnt come out to vote, and scored worse than polls indicated. I'm not an objective onlooker, but honestly from a Tory perspective they have to ditch Sunak & Johnson quite quickly IMO mate.

And certainly don’t ask him how to deal with a pandemic, the economy or dealing with Russia or the Rail unions……

Did you just really say the economy ? Have you been in hibernation the last four years ? Really Pete don't even try to sneak that in, the Tories have destroyed the economy, are you immune from the cost of living crisis as well. How has he dealt with the Rail Unions ? Pray tell, or are you another Tory who thinks ordinary people have no right to strike if all negotiations have failed. Sigh, your other points how have the Tories dealt with Russia ? Have they stopped being funded by them yet ? Or are they just doing like the rest of the world, just sanctioning them.. And lastly the Pandemic was really sorted out by the brave Doctors, Nurses, Hospital staff, some died trying, not the Tory louts who partied through it. Now back to the hip flask matey it's nearly time for your nap.

In terms of pay, I believe the upper echelons of industry and business, of which I was one, are grossly overpaid and rewarded. I always took the view that the difference between the lowest paid and the highest paid should be as low as possible and I did my bit to raise the standard of pay from the lower levels while trying to curtail the greed of my peers.

I am a Tory with socialist instincts and beliefs, and I actually believe that Boris has a similar view of life. The reason they all went against him was because he’s trying to raise the bottom of the tree, even his view of those on benefits being able to purchase property, but of course Labour has always wanted its client state to remain where it was and vote Labour and anti-Boris folk cannot see what he’s trying to do…

That’s one of the funniest posts I’ve ever seen on GoT, and from @peteblue - you should post more when you’re bladdered mate, hilarious.

Labour just need to sit on there hands and do nothing at all at the present time.
This lot are imploding, fight among themselves, taxes up to the highest level since 1948, borrowing at a ridiculous level, after years of austerity.
Cost of living will do for them once the reality of it hits the middle class voters , energy bills doubling, petrol going through the roof, mortgage payments going up.
There kids in depth for going to uni
Can't get to see a doctor.
Cant get a passport
Cant get a renewal on your licence,(talked to a lorry driver the other week has been waiting over 2 months )
Poverty and crime going up.
Brexit completely cocked up(and that's from somebody who voted out).
The attack on workers will continue and more will fight against the constant rush to the bottom this lot have engaged in for decades , see PO a load of mock outrage then What, crews still sacked, company still operating out of British ports and manned by foreign crew on £2.79 an hour.
Airports a mess because they binned the workforce and now wonder why nobody wants to work 24/7 for £9.60 an hour.
Rail on the brink, because they hadn't allowed any talks that didnt start out with a preconceived notion of they would be stacked in the management s favour that's before you even sat down to have a conversation, two years the unions have been asking for a meeting, the reply only if they are self financing and you agree to changes in working and job roles, if not no meetings.
the rail unions are getting painted as the bad guys when it's the dogma of this shower of tories that us causing the problem and has for years.
The union has said it will talk about the modernization of roles on numerous occasions but still not enough for this lot.
They are the worst government I have ever seen in my lifetime and I included Thatcher in that, bthis lot are corrupt , incompetent and bluff merchants.
It a shame people still fall for there complete bollocks.
I would ask anybody just what part of your life has become better since this lot came to power?
