The L.C.A.B. / THT Transfer Window Thread ....

Nugent has scored 8 times for them this season. They'd be mad to loan him out or swap him for Vaughan.

I'm surprised that Carew's move to the Hawthorns seems to be taking so long. He's been treated so shabbily by Villa though, would he want to stay?

Samaras is out of contract in the summer too. Only 25. Premiership experience. Good goalscoring record. Used to playing as the loan striker. The only competition appears to be Hercules in La Liga.

I saw Nugent play a few weeks back against Norwich. Really surprised me with his ability and pace. Created Kitsons goal with some really nice intricate play and won the penalty for the second. His time with Redknapp and Portsmouth is no real sign of his Premier league capability.

With Redknapp if your face does'nt fit or you not a £20m player your not in the team, would have been the same with Bale and Pavylchenko if it was'nt for injuries at Spurs. Darren Bent is testament to this and he gets a few goals at most of his clubs.

Theres a few good finishers in the league at the moment, Grant Holt at Norwich and Charlie Austin at Swindon spring to mind I'm sure they'll be reaching the heights of their respective careers soon.

Agreed mate, I think he'd be good for us. Good ability on the ball and hard working !

Pompey would let him go cheap too. Have stopped Michael Brown playing again this season due to his contract reaching a point where it would automatically renew and give him a pay increase to around £35k per week, same for Richard Hughes but he's agreed to take a cut to £7k per week. How the once so mighty under free spending Redknapp have fallen!

2 May 1985 (1985-05-02) (age 25)

so that would make nugent a nigerian 20 :) perfect age.

it all sounds like nothing is set in stone yet but theres defo a shifting and/or juggling going on behind the scenes to get something done.

vaughan out for 1million (not confirmed)
yak loaned out for 1 million , wages payed and a future fee of 4 million (not confirmed)
pienaar to spurs for 70 k wages , maybe an early transfer for 2 million , chelsea may be in for 3 million (not confirmed)

with vaughan and yak going then we can only guess the manager has a striker in mind.
with pienaar going we can expect more games for bily and gueye , or perhaps everton will match the 70k wages from spurs with a last ditch offer ? (perhaps this is what the yakubu move is all in aid of - to free up wages for pienaar's contract and a loan signing of a striker )

I heard that same thing through two guys I know, Jay and Bob. Solid lads, but Jay smokes a bit too much of the green stuff, and Bob is pretty quiet. From here on out, I will move my ill fated attempts at clever comments to the Alio and Muggins show. Good stuff Chicago.

Every thread needs a little humor in it mate. I had a great chat with Bob the other day. He was on about Del Griffith, some cat he knew from a shower accessory convention. Apparently, this Del fancies some plump pillows but then again, who doesn't?
