Thread Summary:

Linked with a load, all nowhere near done.

However, one lad named Eric Dier is done and dusted, and is probably being loaned back to his former club Sporting Lisbon once the deal is concluded.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I'm doing my mini drive-by here and I needed it summarized.

I forgot to do this yesterday as I couldn't decide how to word it after the Dier stuff but...

After reading LCAB's awesome updates and doing some Vorderman style mathematics I reckon its 51.76% certain we won't sign a player who is first team ready in this transfer window.

Much love.

Over and out.

BRADLEY JOHNSON or SNODGRASS of Leeds we should go for with the Pienaar money!!! Bradley Johnson would be my choice!

Havnt looked through the last couple of pages of the thread yet so don't know if its been brought up, but Dale Jennings was at Finch Farm today.

Wouldn't say no to that. A talented lad. I just hope if he arrives he gets playing time. Same with Eric Dier.

Anyone know if our more talented younglings will go out to get some first team action in the championship or division1?

We know which are Moyes favourites by who gets on the bench when we have a few injuries (Duffy Gueye Baxter). But I'm afraid they'll just end up rotting on the bench unless they can adapt to the pressures of first team football.

back to this months transfers and i'm now of the opinion we shouldn't do any. Saha and Becks are hitting form up front and in terms of replacing Pienaar Billy should be given half a season on the left, instead of doing over priced panic buys or loans for players who don't get games at other clubs, save the Yobo, Yak, Pienaar and poss. Vaughan money for the summer and all of a sudden Moyes has got a sizeable pot to play with and a whole summer to carefully plan signings, giving us an opportunity to progress again because we'll have the type of money to bring one top player in which could make all the differenc in terms of our current squads mindsets over signing new deals and also their overall positivity heading into the start of next season,,,just a thought, like.

I can see the merits in not bringing anybody in rather than panic buys. However I think it would be a gamble with us only 4 points out of relegation trouble.

So far all we have done in January is weaken our squad, and when allied to players struggling for form (Mikky the main one), injuries (Saha, Jags) and suspensions I think we need to be bringing some players in. I think the fans need a lift in what has been a horrible season so far, and wouldn't be surprised if the players do too.

Two or three in and hopefully not on the last day in the last 10 minutes.

I'm at the point where my sarcasm detector has failed and I don't know whether this is a joke or not :(

Phil Neville is a talented footballer who massively contributes to our attacking options, or Anichebe is a premier league footballer.

Now that is sarcasm, while any brazilian footballer to Everton is a wind up surely.

How many times do I have to post to move off being a 'free transfer'?

I'm worried I might get a call from Everton and I (sadly for you lot) wouldn't be able to say no.:D
