That's what I dont get though. You're saying Yobo is more of a natural a centre half than Lescott and Jags. But Jags and Lescott are natural centre halves and so is Yobo. So you're saying Yobo a "better" centre half by saying he's the "most natural?

Or are you saying he cant play anywhere else but centre half while the other two can?

Welll Jags is a brilliant man marker and in a sense an excellent last ditch man, Lescott is a born Sweeper and his athelticism and Physicality is excellent while sometimes his marking can let him down.

For me Yobo has a collection of all thier best attributes he can man mark, he has better anticiapation, he has the ability to mark space and psostion for players not to run or pass ointo into that the others dont, while he also has the physicality and postional sense.

I agree Jags and Lescott compliment each other well, and with Baines in the team it offers us another attacking threat but i still think Yobo is our most natural centre half.

So really there just three different centre halves with different attributes, they are all natural centre halves.

Yobo is the best athlete, Jagielka is the best out and out defender and Lescott's a mixture of the two. He also has better distribution than both Jags and Yobo who like a good "hoof".

As much as I rate Yobo I have no doubts that Jagielka and Lescott are better and more reliable, I'm confident that from now on they'll be the first choice partnership with Yobo acting as backup. Especially with Leighton Baines' form.

Lescott is by far the best athlete mate, Jags is a good stoper and man marker, Yobo aclectively can do alot more naturaly as a centre half his distribution natyraly isn tbad at all he has ability which makes his tendencey to hoof paradxole. Both Lescott and Jags compliment each other well at centre half and can offer a lot in other areas. Add baines into the equation and youve your current winners. Yobo will be back of course im confident of that.

Yobo panics on the ball and doesn't like to take the easy option, instead chooses to go forward all the time and hope for the best. It's not controlled at all, it's just a wild swing of the leg and hope that someone gets on the end of it.

Yobo is, he's the best athlete on our books according to himself and Dave Billows (fitness coach). Lescott is also athletic as is Jags but Yobo is definitely the best in this area. They all have pace and strength but Yobo is the best athlete.

Jagielka is the best defender out of the three, he's a natural in that area like the likes of Stubbs, Carragher and Terry. That for me is a natural defender, they don’t depend on physical attributes, they are just very good defenders and read the game very well. They read the situation and deal with it, it’s all in the head really.

Lescott is an all rounder, not as good an athlete as Yobo but still very athletic and also a very good defender. His distribution is better than both players and he actually attempts to bring the ball out.

Who do you think Yobo will get back in for, Jags or Lescott?

Clearly.

WORD.

I'm not talking about you.

Yeah, stop gegging in Goat.

Anyway, side point.

Wasnt this meant to be a Yobo appreciation thread?

Then why is that bad snide Toccy ripping him? He does mad when we do it in the Fernandes appreciation thread. Hypocrite.

And, by the way, appreciation threads are:

1 - gay

2 - needing a ficticious middle name
