Even though he's not pacy?

I wouldnt mind him given a crack at the DM role in all fairness. He looks a double hard [Poor language removed], will hopefully have better positional sense than Rodwell or Neville (though Neville's positioning is his best asset IMO) and wont be likely to hoof the ball everytime he gets it.

Lescott isn't pacy? He was one of our quickest players. Not that that's hard but he was quick once he got going.

It'll be interesting to see where Moyes uses him. Pienaar said he'd improve our football so he must be a decent footballer. Right back I reckon though, he's a defender by trade.

Not Lescott...Heitinga. The big thing about him is he's not very pacy which is why I mentioned maybe him not playing at right back in a modern game where wing backs have to be up and down most of the time.

Sorry, got mixed up there.

If he's good on the ball and composed he'll be a step up from Hibbert. Look at Corluka, not the quickest fullback by any means but he's excellent on the ball and great at linking things together.

He can't be any slower than Neville.

this could go anyway lescott was signed as a CH but played most out on the left...one scenario i dont want is Hett to be put in the middle and Jags goes right but we ll see

what has me thinkin is if he plays Hett RB ( and clearly lacks the pace that has been said) i guessin DM and co know this as well so who plays RM as ossie game of trackin back stinks ....i hope its not a case of musical chairs in the team just to fit this guy in coz we bought him for 6m on last day of TW
