Bit of trivia, does anybody know the last Dutch right back/defender who played on merseyside? All I can say is I hope/I'm confident he'll do a lot better.

The lad Liverpool signed from PSV...

Went on to sign for Villarreal...

What's his name! >.<

Hello everyone, I am an Atlético fan, and most of us are sad and annoyed that Heitinga has gone :(
It is not really because of his abilities, but we have needed a right-back all summer, and Heitinga was definitely our best option there. Now we have sold him, we have nobody very capable to play there and no time to get a replacement.
From what I have heard, John wanted to stay in Madrid, and I think he was part of Abel Resino's plans (seeing as he still picked him against Málaga on Sunday knowing he would leave), but Enrique Cerezo, the club president, wanted to get rid of him for some reason. He promised us a big signing and we only spent €5m all summer! :o

As a footballer, Johnny is a good professional and he will always give his best for the team. He does lack in pace and can make some mistakes, but when he is at his best form then he can be a great defender. I know that David Moyes is good at getting the best from players and maybe he can do this with Heitinga.
I'm not sure if he will play centre-back or right-back for Everton, but I wish John and your club the best in the future :)

What do you think of Torres? I think he's a knob who looks like a girl.
