Mixed on Hetinga. Strong but slow and picked up another yellow yesterday. If he is asking for big wages I'm not so sure about the lad. I know we need someone in Hibbert's place but what if he can't stick with the pacy players of the league. It may be a blessing in disguise if the club want rid of him and has settled a fee but he doesn't want to go because he has to take a pay cut. Not a good omen.

Its not just about 1 place, the lad can play RB, CB and DM and hes a Dutch International. Cant say ive seen him play, but ive heard the name and he would rasie our profile and give us cover in lots of postions.

I dont blame the lad for not wanting a pay cut, he plays nearly every week for Atletico, hes on good money, in sunny Spain. So not only are we asking him to take a pay cut, but we are wanting him to move to England and pay 50% tax.
 
All good points. For five Million some say a better product than Naughton that we were all goo goo over. So I'll hope for the best like any fan waiting for news.

Given it's now 8:30 P.M. in England, there isn't much more going to come out of all of this until either (1) sunrise tomorrow or (2) LCAB weighs in.

All the teeth gnashing isn't going to change a single thing. Hit the pub, bend an elbow and get a good night's sleep. We'll all need our energy come tomorrow - whether it be in celebration of new signings or ..... (karma requires it need not be said)

Stand to be corrected on this, but if there's no deal by midnight tonight it's over. Unless a fee agreed between the clubs gets around not actually signing the player.
