The Inevitable Return Of Wayne Rooney

just a couple of things.....without the Rooney transfer cash we would have gone into administration......and to whoever it was (think it was nigelcoyb ) said Rooney mostly strolls around the pitch, what a pathetic comment....he has, almost single handed, kept united where they are for the last two seasons. Also the reason for his transfer request was due to, in his opinion, uniteds lack of ambition regarding transfers.

One thing I can PROMISE you , it wil NOT be about the dough .

Really , really ..

Know that kit he bought his lad ??? An his lad says , Dad, why do Evertonians all call you a greedy , no class sumbitch ???

I dont think he wants the question . An the thought of a pic over the fire of him holding , say , even he FA Cup in blue kinda does it for him ....

Like that ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ as it goes , Dude

I understand that lar ^, but I don't think United are stupid enough to let there golden egg walk for nothing whilst he's still a valuable asset < that's all

I can see him playing for Everton again because the fox thinks it could happen one day, I just don't believe it will be at a time which suits Everton FC, in which case I wouldn't want it to happen, if you catch my drift :)

Fergie only gives one year contracts to players over 30, i see that continuing even if he does leave, it has become a club policy.

Rich people wake up all the time and realise they want something different from life. Look at Bill Gates, he's a billionaire but now all he really cares about is his charitable foundation and encouraging other mega rich people to give the majority of their wealth to the less fortunate.

I don't think it's unrealistic at all to think that Rooney would be satisfied with his £100m+ earnings between 2010 and 2015 and decide that he wants to come home.

He doesn't mate thats Arsenal. Players of Rooneys calibre are still worth big bucks at that age, fergie doesn't allow United to lose a bean in that way.

Players of his build are rarely up to much at the age of 30 and that's the bare minimum age he'd be able to get back to us. He's a great player now but he's a fiery player too. Without the motivation to suceed he may not be worth having to be honest.

I don't doubt his intention to put things right or a bit of regret at some naive actions of a young boy(something we all do) but I don't see this working out.

The topic is about him coming back to Everton football club. Your allegations of his call girl habits are about as relevant to the Pienaar transfer thread as his thoughts on pineapple on pizza.

Whether he does the dirty with twenty call girls a night or not has absolutely nothing to do with his level of professionalism as a player, one is personal and the other is work, end of.

Rooney's visits to call girls are directly relevant to him coming back to Everton Football Club.

We're a family club founded as a Church team FFS.

Its directly relevant. Player and staff conduct off the pitch is as much important for Evertonians as it is on it.

Off topic.

Additionally the former is likely to be sold back to Italy in the summer. Its only been luck that he hadn't cost them a title push.

Does Everton really need an EGO thinking he's bigger than us? Really?

I think Rooney mistakenly thinks he is bigger than us. HE'S WRONG.

Everton's been around over 125 years. Rooney's been around 25 years.
rooney pushing for a move out of man u because he thought their transfers ie. ambition did not match his means to me he possibly thinks he is bigger than man utd so how do you like those apples

So now you want a completely DELUSIONAL Wayne Rooney at Everton now then hey?

Wow. So you'll ignore his visits to call girls etc just for a cheap thrill to have him back?

The Everton I know is worth so so so much more than that.

It's completely true. Players over 30 at United are on year by year rolling contracts.

Scholes, Owen, and Giggs were and are all under the same conditions, and Ferdinand will be when his current contract ends next season. The same happened with Van Der Sar.

Some players (such as Ferdinand) have gone past the 30 mark on a multi year contract but once your contract runs out at United and you are over 30 then tradition is to over you a year by year deal. It's a great way of encouraging older players not to try and get one big fat pay day and then rest on their laurels.

Worlds biggest straw clutch.

who he likes doing and how mean nothing unless it infringes on his ability to play football. Judging by his honours list it never has. Ronaldo, Ribery and others are also fond of call girls yet they are head and shoulders above thier peers.

delusional? i think its called a `professional mentality` ie. its got him where he is today, the top of his chosen field. btw - what he does in his spare time doesnt bother me in the slightest oh judgemental one - long as he doesnt follow the gobshiites i`m not arsed

Some of US hold playing for Everton as a higher honour than that.

Whilst some professions seem to be able to get away with that kind of thing why should we allow Everton Football Club or invite back a player who turned his back on us, talked us down in the media multiple times, visited call girls and behaved like he was bigger than us?

Some of you lot may be in love with the idea of "Wayne Rooney" at Everton.

I for one am not. That ship sailed away in 2004.

The men who took us away from Anfield would be turning in their graves.

Matt, why you so hung up about the call girls? Jealousy perhaps?
If you crucified every youngster who messed up a bit, then none of us would see past 21. Find a current, valid, argument to go on with.
